Its the Masters baby!

One day out and we got no post on it....wheres the hype?????

Par 3 comp done and dusted. Didnt see the end of it but Sandly Lyle was leading at -5. Looks like Matt Wallace won it in the end with a playoff. Well thats him done then.

So Rory is the fav. Coming in to the masters in great form and there is a fair bit of rain expected so the softer course may suit him, as well as a few others.

Im thinking big Jon Rahm could be one worth backing. Would also like to see Tiger do well but not sure he quite 100% at the moment. Guess we are about to find out!

It's kinda stupid, but what i love most about the Masters is the course. On TV it just looks almost too perfect. The visuals really are amazing.

Mine woudl be one of those 3.

I'm not ready to back John Rahm until he wins something big. I'm just not sure he has Major temperament, though he has the talent to win by eight if it all clicks.

My strategy is always to back the guys with runs on the board at Augusta. Justin Rose, Jordan Speith (out of form but he loves this course), Louis Oosthuizen, Adam Scott, Bubba Watson.

Brandt Snedeker at $81 looks the best long shot to me.

It could be Rory's to lose though, but I'd be wary if he was leading into Sunday.

So, Tiger's most likely going to have a share of second after three rounds.

Was just having a look at this list - some fascinating stuff in there - including how hard it is to win multiple majors. Some big household names who won only one. Win three or more you're pretty much an all time great.

Nicklaus winning 18 is phenomenal. Tiger's 14 is phenomenal - given he got them across 11 years - and now boom - it's 11 years since he won one and he's got a shot.

Which would give him 15 across 22 years compared with Nicklaus 18 across 24 years.

Wake up everyone, the final round is underway. Molinari is three shots ahead of Kopeka, Woods, Poulter and Finau.

All the lead guys playing very average - lots of par saves.

Molinari still in driving seat, tiger 1 behind but I think Finau looks the best bet.

This storm could come In tho and change everything. If one of the earlier guys could get clubhouse at -10 or -11 thst could do it

You make it sound like a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure that's how almost every golf tournament is won. Especially the last rounds of big ones when the pressure is really on.

I wouldn't say he played boring golf, that shot on 16 was a pearler.

But it was a bit of a throwback to the early 2000s 'tiger effect', where good golfers would go to water (metaphorically and literally) in the final round of a major when Tiger was stalking them.

He's by no means a good person, but I love a comeback story. Sets up a great year of major golf. The only shame was it had all finished before any of us woke up!

I'm the opposite of a Tiger fan but he was the only one of the leaders to stand up on the back 9 - the other who did were coming from a few shots back. Incredible that the 4 players closest to him all went into the water on 12 and took 5 while he played for a dull middle of the green par. Frankie was a bit unlucky with his 7 on 15 though, to hit the pine cone and then for that to cause a splashdown - but then he had already crumbled at 12.

I think the difference for this version of Tiger is that he has finally accepted his physical limitations and is playing the percentages. Pre back repair, a couple of birdies and he would be trying to hit booming drives and get wild, now he is being outdriven by the young bucks but is a good enough all round player to get through.
