NRL 2020

What do you say about that performance. Lots of effort In first 20 but no points. Then followed by the Warriors we know.

Donsteppa

The Warriors right hand side couldn't score in a brothel.

Donsteppa

Even RTS is having a mare with his positioning on that last try.

The good thing about this for any new coach is that you start with a blank page.

Melbourne finish the day at 50/6.

If only it was blank, because the page I see has poo all over it.

I’m hopeful for the new coach, but we need some leadership in the forwards. Someone that has some grit and edge to them. We have talent but when you look at how we’ve got success out of young talented forwards in the past is because we had guys like Price, Campion, Wiki, Luck that did the little things well and consistently.

At one stage midway thru the second half warriors had 64 % possession, more territory, and storm only had 13 fit players left , no bench .

They look lost with what to do

mariner4life

The most attractive thing about the warriors coaching job is the freedom of a free hit.

Not too many fans think this is a team assembled to contend.

50 fucking points to the Storm who have battled to score in a brothel?

If the players are sad because their buddy Steve got fired, then perhaps they should have played a bit better before?

I am happy as I gave up at the half and watch a shit Will Ferrell movie instead.

You can not win with a team of journeymen. We have 4 players in total that would make it into other teams starting line ups. RTS, Harris, Maumalo & I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt Fuistua. Or as Brandy Alexander likes to call him David Fusi - how on earth is that cunt given the task of do the team list??? he pronounced Asafa in the same way you would say Lucifer or As-ever....

Anyway that not changing ever, OZ comms getting it wrong. So back to the Warriors. We are a rabble. What makes it worse is that the Hurricanes are shit now too so I'm forced to take more than a passing interest this year. Can't see us winning a game from here. Im happy we go those 2 after COVID but can't see anymore.

raznomore

Fusitua, Maumalo & Paasi are all leaving for NZ - they agreed to come to Australia on the basis their families could join. That has not materialised so they are dipping out.

Bovidae

Is that because the NRL has reneged on a promise or are George and the Warriors to blame?

raznomore

@Bovidae I’m not sure mate. I think the story is still developing at this stage. I’ve been drinking since 3pm and stopped looking for updates about that time lol.

mariner4life

Cowboys got a win by smacking the knights.

And the Titans gave the Broncos a touch up. LOL

Oh and Parramatta beat the raiders in golden point

Bovidae

@raznomore Based on an interview I saw with Cameron George a day later it's due to inaction by the NRL. He and some of the leadership group requested and had a video meeting with V'landys. It sounds like the players have said they will stay another 2 weeks so the NRL has that period to sort it out. The problem is that some of the Warriors players (e.g., Blair, Green) have their families with them while most don't.

mariner4life

top draw cripple fight! Warriors v Broncos, two dogshit directionless football sides, neither of which deserve a win. Maybe us, because the Broncos have been stinking it up at home. The broadcasters have come to their senses, and it's relegated to the Saturday twilight game

I don't understand what is going on in Brisbane. They are awful, and can't score. And so far the guys paying the price at the selection table are a fullback, and now a winger. Their shit halves get game after game.

We're likely boned because RTS is facing a week off for a shoulder charge.

Enjoy it, it's the 2nd to last Warriors game this season.

@Machpants is that inside knowledge or opinion?
