I can't see too many changes for the Chiefs, mainly because of the limited number of players they have in Aust. Tupaea could move back to 2nd 5, and McMillan has said playing on the wing was more out of necessity. If that happens then a left winger will need to be found, and Tiatia would be the only option. The flow-on effect for this is that Trask comes in at fullback.

Hopefully Norris is fit and available.

I'd love for them to select Gideon Wrampling on one of the wings.

He might be an option when fit and available, but wasn't playing club rugby last Sat.

We also haven't had any injury update on ENS, Narawa and Stevenson yet.

As I said above, there was little choice. A 6:2 bench.

Hopefully a few of the unavailable players are back for the Brumbies next round.

Stargazer

@Duluth Booooooo, again no Tyrone Thompson on the bench!

Most in Aus are picking Reds. I'm not so sure but it is a pity the Chiefs have so many unavailable via injury. Sowakula vs Wilson should be v.good.

Yeetyaah

Again I go into this game feeling cautious. I no longer watch the Chiefs feeling comfortable especially against "weaker" opposition. They really can't keep cool heads on attack which worries me, every time they get a roll on in the 22, the ball is knocked on or turned over. I find it hard to understand what the problem is there other than attack coaching. It's usually a forward who makes a run alone and gets turned over and usually a back who knocks it on. I'm also really hoping Gatland actually shows us the reason why he's being selected every week and that it isn't bosses son privilege. The Reds shouldn't be taken lightly.

Torian

@Yeetyaah since Ioane is injured wouldn't you have Bryn at 10 or would you like Reihana to get a start soon?

Bovidae

@Yeetyaah I don't think that Warren is involved in team selection to avoid any perception of bias.

Paul Williams is the ref, so that could be a plus or minus.

ARHS

Cane and Norris will be missed with McReight and Tupou in the opposition. Thought maybe Tupaea back in midfield v Paisami too.
Chiefs will need to keep McDermott in check and play at right end of field with Reds turnover capability. I think our box and diagonal kicking will be critical along with our lineout strength. Expecting a real tight one.

Bovidae

The Chiefs record in Brisbane in the last decade is better than I thought, winning the previous three games. Need to start well.

Seriously I don't think I've ever seen a more injury prone player..wait, maybe Petaia. Due to injuries Vunivalu has unfortunately failed to make an impact since crossing over.

We should see team lists tomorrow. I wonder when Simon Parker will actually play again? It's been a loooong time.
