I'd like to know if there are younger locks kicking around with great promise.
Because this position above all looks the worst after Retallick and Whitelock retire.
I like the look of Zach Gallagher. That's about all I have noticed.

@Tim said in Future Locks after RWC???:
Josh Lord looks to have the much desired "mongrel".
I agree. Hopefully he’s adding some more muscle to the frame during his injury break
I think Selby-Rickit would go well if given the chance. 26years old, so about to enter the prime years for a tight forward
How bout Pari Pari Parkinson ? Always handy to have a guy who is about 25 feet tall although he needs to bulk up.
@Duluth said in Future Locks after RWC???:
Soft
Yeah I know you don’t need to keep reminding me, but I’m talking about him.
There have been negative comments about Frizell and Reece being selected because of their off-field records. Selby-Rickit is way worse in that respect.

He's definitely working on his mullet.

@Chris Beehre? Has hardly played NPC and hasn't shown much. Didn't shine for the U20s either. Way too soon IMO.
Just one for the future for me not maybe straight after the WC but maybe the 2 years after.
Vaa'i has been given a few chances and has shown fuck all so far.
Not saying he should be dropped, but he has hardly set the world on fire.

@Bovidae Yeah, was thinking the same.
If he stays in NZ, I think Scooter will be the senior lock. Vaa'i and Lord will probably be there and Gallagher and Dickson have a good chance, too. I don't think our locking stocks are that bad.
Big factor will also be who the ABs coach is after RWC 2023.
If it's Foster, he'll stick with Whitelock and recall Ian jones. Loyalty and all that.

I thought Hicks showed well this year and is the same age, looks like he can cover 6 too. But another from Ta$man eh.
