Might as well start a new thread..
First game is nine days away (Friday 23rd of February). For the forgetful that's plenty of time to work how to add a calendar reminder
At some time over the next week I'll finish of a TSF Wiki area. That will hold info about previous Tipping winners.
It'll also have other info like @booboo 's team of the year results, a summary of the AB MOTM votes by year, Auckland, Blues & Northland MOTM summaries by year etc
It's mostly built but I just have to populate the data
The first tipping form of the year is live. To enter the competition, just post your tips for week 1. For your team, select your usual team or if you're a new or returning player, you can choose "Individual" as your team and you will be assigned to a team that needs players.

The results are in for week 1 and the form is live for week 2 if you want to tip now to be sure you don't forget. https://thesilverfern.com/tipping/ has the leaderboard plus all the other stats across the tabs.
Early leaders are Dogmeat and Waynes World. Average tipping for Dogmeat but somehow he managed to pick all 4 of the categories for 20 points when around half the tippers pick zero categories. Waynes World with 3 maximums out of 6, beaten only by Victor and JL on debut who picked 4/6. Picking all 6 results correctly - 72% went 6/6.
50 tippers in all for week 1, only OomPB and frugby are playing as individuals as their chosen team was full - everyone else has been fitted in somewhere. Please try to keep playing all season as the team results were really close in the first week - wins for Barbarians who go top, SunJags, BOP Chiefs and Canes Black but all losing teams picked up a bonus point for within 7. An attacking bonus point is scored if your team had 3 or more maximums than the opposition - Barbarians and SunJags achieved that.

I changed to Canes Black this year, wasn't comfortable having my name against anyone but Canes like last year. Not saying I will pick any better of course!

A much tougher week to pick with nobody getting 6/6, TR the best with 5/6 backing Moana when most went for Drua. Top scores were @SouthernMann & @mikey07 with 42, only 4 reached 40. Lowest for @dK who was late tipping and @Joan-and-Mary with 14 (shouldn't have changed her correct pick for the Waratahs).
@Waynes-World had a good 38 to lead on his own, 6 clear of @dogmeat who is 5 clear of Victor.
Wins for both Canes teams plus Blues B and Barbarians. Biggest win was for Blues B despite them having the 2nd lowest total for the weekend - the SunJags bombed completely, nobody was over 30 and 3 were below 20.
