Nobody picked 5/5 this week and there were 12 people with 4/5. The best of these were Victor @duluth & @southernmann with 49. At the other end of success, @frugby and @corkscrew picked only 1/5.
@hurrycanes & Victor now take over the lead but the top of the table is very close and one good week can move you up a few places. The quarter-finalists are decided in the TSF Cup.

This comp gets harder when there are only 3 games and so each one has much more importance in terms of points. Nobody at all picked the Force to win but plenty picked up 2/3 and a lot of them had the 17+ margins as well. Also plenty of category points around. The best score was the current leader @hydro11 with 60, getting all 4 category picks correct (@dolamite the only other picker of all 4). The lead is now 9 and the top 5 stay in the same positions. @canes4life the only missing tipper (again) - try putting in some tips now for next weekend? @landers92 & @borderjb submitted their tips late.
The top 4 in the teams comp is already looking set with Canes Black winning 7 of 8 games and leading the way. The cup final is between me and @duluth or Langakali (the one who goes ahead first next weekend). The final is settled over a single weekend and we'll start another cup comp the weekend after.

The TSF Cup final is between myself and Langakali as Langakali chose Brumbies 1-8 and Duluth went Brumbies 9-16.

Langakali took the TSL Cup title by posting a season best total in the final - can't argue with that. Along with @hurrycanes they were the only ones to pick 5/5 and top 60 points. The category picks gave nearly everyone 10 points for Chiefs highest scorers and biggest win.
@hydro11 still leads but the gap has closed to 6 over Victor with Langakali up to 3rd. A couple of people tipped late but only @jimmyb was missing altogether - good performance.
Wins for Canes Black and Barbarians have them out in front but the top 4 look to be cruising into the play-offs.

With nobody picking a Drua win, the key games were Chiefs v Hurricanes where 42% picked the Canes and Force v Crusaders where 69% went Crusaders. Picking both those games correctly for 4/5 were @george33 who top scored with 56 with 20/20 for category picks, me, Langakali, @duluth @antipodean & @landers92 . I only gave points for the Chiefs game as closest game as you can't get closer than a draw.
@hydro11 still leads by 10 from Langakali with Victor dropping to 3rd. There are 6 rounds left to make your push for victory. Missing tippers were @booboo @frugby and @canes4life and @taniwharugby & @kruse were late and missed the first game.
The teams comp is pretty much settled for the top 4 playoffs with Canes Black leading by 7 from Barbarians, BOP Chiefs and Blues B who are a long way ahead of the SunJags.

It was an easy week to pick results although margins proved more elusive. All but 2 of the tippers, who got their tips in on time, picked 5/5. Best score of the week was @canes4life with 65, getting the margins for all 5 games plus 5 for the Blues v Reds as closest game. He would be near the top without missing 3 weeks of tips!
@hydro11 retains the lead but the pack is closing in, Victor is 5 behind and Langakali is 8 behind.

There was a season high score of 70 for @ploughboy picking all 5 games with margins plus 2 category picks. Also 5/5 results for @canes4life (66) and @kiwimurph (only 48 due to no category picks). No big change at the top except for Victor falling back to 4th. Anyone from outside the top 4 will have to work hard to win from here, only 4 weeks to go.

Best of the weekend was actually me with 66, 5/5, 3 margins and 15 for category picks. Victor and @Tim next best with 63 ahead of Triple T and @joan-and-mary with 61. 11 picked 5/5 with a few backing the Blues, Waratahs and Force.
@hydro11 still holds onto the lead as he has for every week since Round 2 (except dropping to 3rd in Round 6). But the lead is only 4 ahead of me (don't worry I'll crumble) with Langakali and Victor still in touch. Tim is 5th but maybe too far back to win the title with only 3 rounds left.
With just one more round of the teams comp, the semi-finalists are set and probably the match-ups after BOP Chiefs beat Blues B.
The Cup is into the semi-finals. @Hydro11 won another replay against @taniwharugby as TR picked the Blues to win - Hydro11 to play Triple T in one semi and @dolamite to play @paj in the other.

Quite a few of you now have very good scores. Best score of the weekend was @dolamite with 69 and @waynes-world & @gt12 both moved up to 66 and @winger increased to 64. Going the other way was @george33 who lost 2 correct picks to move to a total of only 2 - equal lowest of the season with @duluth
Things that changed - Blues B turned around the game against BOP Chiefs to win and move level in 3rd with them. Winger won the Cup game against @hydro11 to move into the semi-finals.

Best of the weekend was @delicatessen with 3 correct margins and 3 category picks for 60 points. Next best was @hydro11 who may have sealed yet another title with 53 and a lead overall of 23 over Victor. @kruse was the only one brave enough to pick both the Waratahs and the Force but inexplicably also chose the Blues so there were no 4/4 selections.

@KiwiPie It was tough going this week and I note you have got an inevitable stinker out of your way this week instead of reserving it for next week's semi-final! Sadly I seem to have them too regularly so must be due a decent score sooner or later. Incidentally why does everyone seem to reserve their best performances against the Barbarians who despite being the top scorers in the points for column but are also featuring highly in the points against one?

Best of the weekend were 3 people who picked 5/5, 4 with correct margins and picked up 10 in category picks. These were @GT12 @joan-and-mary @allblacksfan2 who all scored 67 points. Also picking 5 correct with 4 margins were Richie and @kiwimurph while there were plenty of other good scores if you avoided picking the Chiefs and the Waratahs to win.
Overall, @hydro11 now leads by a massive 37 points with relentless consistency (9 x 50+ scores when the next best is 7) while all his closest rivals have fallen away with a bad week or 2. Unless Hydro11 does us a favour by not tipping next weekend, the race is for 2nd place with 2nd to 9th only separated by 19 points.

In the teams comp, Canes Black took their expected spot in the final beating Blues B 51-33 as @kirwan didn't turn up while in the other semi, there was a draw between Barbarians and BOP Chiefs 51-51. The totals were 255 for both teams so they couldn't be split. Not had this happen before so the method of deciding will be the team that scores most points for Crusaders v Hurricanes this coming week (and then the 2nd game if still tied).

A bit of a humdrum final week with most scores in the 30s, best were @mikey07 and @winger with 39. Only category pick of the round was @taniwharugby who picked the Canes as lowest points scorer.
The winner for 2026 was @hydro11 with a 5th consecutive title and an 8th title overall. A true master of this competition with a convincing 36 point lead. Second was @winger as he was last season and sharing 3rd place were Langakali and @kiwipie . The rest of the top 10 were Victor, @waynes-world Triple T, @tim @donsteppa & @higgins
The champion team was Barbarians.
They beat BOP Chiefs in the semi-final sudden death as they all picked the Crusaders to win (and 2 of the BOP Chiefs picked the Canes - and @sportboy didn't turn up).
In the final they defeated Canes Black comfortably with 4 Barbarians players scoring 33. Although @mikey07 scored 39 and Hydro11 scored 36, @hurrycanes didn't turn up and @Paj bombed out with the lowest score of the weekend.
FInally the Sequel Cup was won by @winger who thrashed @paj - it looks like Paj tried some catch up tipping and scored just 15.
