I hope the Crusaders have a plan if Skelton does his usual niggly stuff.

Like last time: let him get booked for something that would be ignored for a Kiwi player.

He IS a kiwi player. He's just been seduced by the dark side and turned into a dick.

Funny how the second part never takes much effort

@NTA we acclimatise pretty quick 🙂

Stargazer

The world according to Hooper (he must live in another reality):

Hooper believes the classy and grit of the Waratahs' victory, featuring four unanswered second-half tries, was the ideal preparation and confidence booster for the Crusaders.

He even believes facing the winless Rebels after three straight defeats posed a bigger challenge than opposing the seven-times champions from Christchurch.
KiwiMurph

@Stargazer well he did make those comments on April 1...

taniwharugby

I guess the Rebels were tougher in the sense that the Waratahs were expected to win, whereas they are expected to lose this game, so nothing to lose....

Chris B.

This game worries me.

I guess the rookie first five should give us an advantage, but we're still missing too many of our first choice backs for me to be very confident.

Tim

Drummond certainly is passing well today.

Tim

LOL @ Waratahs' defence.

Rancid Schnitzel

Lovely try that.

Bones

Commentators almost as entertaining as the game, Phil Kearns with constant inane commentary adding no value (Tolu Latu gave away that penalty because he's STRONG! And flexible) then Clark with this pearler "And Robinson slots the penalty so the deficit is now....7. It's 19 points to 10".

Stargazer

And another All Black down. Hope Crotty's injury isn't too serious. Crusaders have the bye next week, so hopefully that's all the time he needs.

Chris B.

Plenty of good play by us, perhaps our best first half of the season - but then a few crucial lapses stop us from completely kicking away.

Crotty has been bloody good - three or four huge plays in that half - and now he's off. Be nice if we stopped losing midfield backs.

Havili has been pretty good as well - but, slightly spoiled his half by trying for a miracle no-look reverse pass. As I've said before - he's so much better when he just eliminates those attempted miracle plays from his game.

Drummond going well. Ioane going well. Bridge going well. Bateman making good decisions. Forwards as a unit going well - Taufua notably good. I'd like to see Codie Taylor a bit more dynamic.

taniwharugby

@Chris-B. how long is Goodhue out?

Stockcar86

LOL at the fend right in the Warratah 9's face

Bones

Bridge is having an absolutely brilliant game. Thought he was a bit out of his depth this season so far but he's on fire here.

Bones

Bridge is shit! Completely out of his depth at this level.

antipodean

Great covering tackle by Taufua...

Nick Phipps on, great news for Crusaders
