That's interesting seeing George Bower come straight in to start for Joe Moody.

I can't say I know anything at all about Bower, but I'm nonetheless pleased. I was sceptical that Joe would be available to play this weekend and I was pretty concerned if Harry Allan was starting with the other TuĂșngafasi and Jager on the bench.

I was wondering why we weren't recruiting Donald Brighouse, who did a good job of holding up the scrums last year, which is basically all that we need from these recruits.

Chris

@Chris-B Brighouse apparently was in bad shape fitness wise when they were looking for a Perry Replacement so they went for Bower who is 120kg.
Bad news about Jordan.

good to see Blackadder getting a start too

Strong looking forward pack. How many of those guys are capped Boks?

Jailbreak7

Gold from Richie as he and Havili combine beautifully for the 2nd try.

Jailbreak7

At oranges Saders started slowly, allowing Kolisi through untouched for the try in the first minute, but have gradually settled into their work and take a 10-12 lead into the break. Scrum going better than I thought, Bower pinged a couple of times, but has managed to weather the storm - ahem!
Would like to see Reece more involved, and in the last couple of weeks I have been more impressed with how Crotty contrlos, balances and steadies the backline. He takes a lot of pressure off the first receiver providing another option, allowing Richie to do his thing.

Jeepers Mo'unga is on fire! What a try!

MiketheSnow

Madness from Mounga there.
Kick it long and dead

Jailbreak7

C'mon Saders!!

Jailbreak7

Sevu Reece scores but of course the TMO wwill call..............forward
Ahem your gold watch is on the counter sir

Crucial

What a SA stitch up. That was nota clear and obvious forward pass at all. Call from the crowd and the TMO

Clearly backwards from the hand. Hometown decision.

Why would you go for the posts? Go hard or go home I say
