USA, USA, USA!
I don't trust the French.
You are just carrying way too many scars there Snowy!
I think USA will put up a decent show but the Froggies will be too strong. I don't expect another Japanese-type shock result.
(he says tempting fate)

but if there is one big team to lose to a really ordinary side, it's the Frogs. No one does "disinterested off day" like the Frogs.

Ah, the old reverse, reverse jinx. Very clever.
And yes the scar tissue is still there, having been at both of them live. I think the damage is irreparable. Why the hell couldn't they put up a white flag like they do with the Germans?

France were well beaten by the Germans in 1940 but most of the other wars between the two countries led to French victories.
Not to be too pedantic (and he goes on to be pedantic anyway) I don't think the French can really claim a victory in WW1 either.
And while Napoleon initially had a merry old time in Europe, he ultimately got whipped at Waterloo by a combined English and PRUSSIAN army too
BoK not rewarding the defender, backwards off white, it's a little interpretation that's crept in that annoys me as a soft-try hating curmudgeon. Should be a defensive scrim 20m up field.
Not that a try was scored ...
That first USA maul was organised but too slow. A more urgent second shove and they would’ve scored

Good rugby from the US there
Just a bit of Rugby instinct and they'll be a top tier side in no time. They've got the physical specimens

You stay tackled when they get you.

That turf looks worrying, winger almost went over there
Couple of grounds have issues. Soccer. .

3 penalties adjacent to your own line. Two final warnings. FFS
Was four wasn’t it?

BoK does a Oui Jerome.
More of a Kaplan.
I mean ignoring the offside American picking ball up and calling the scrum instead.

Two maul. One offside on the line.
Oh yeah the goal kick for offside 10m out
@Kirwan said in RWC: France v USA (Pool C):
So many French penalties
In fairness, USA could have easily been penalised at the previous tackle

what cheeses me is it's a goddamn lottery at knockout time. LIke, three strikes and you're off, son.
Given France's recent habit of playing only 40 good minutes per game, they're due about another 20 this half.
I think Fukuoka was the ground I saw cutting up badly last week. You can see they've done work to it.

There were Dutch, Hanovrians, Braunschweigers and Nassauers too. Napoleon's army was too weak to face such a coalition.
Haha Kearns is such a bitter flog
France are giving away penalties, they are doing the NZ trick apparently.
The old give away penalties not tries trick. Can't believe only France have cottoned on to this to copy.
Has he mentioned the French number eight using his forearm to push players off? Waiting for moans about that.
