KiwiMurph

@Tim Marshall, Te Nana but I didn't catch the name of the main commentator. A refreshing change from others.

Frank

Crowd widely spaced. Keeping their distance from one another.

African Monkey

@taniwharugby Great captaincy from the young man!

Tim

Apparently Dewar is on Radio Sport. What's his background?

KiwiMurph

That was a beautiful try.

Bones

@Duluth I think Sotutu has that front spot for the young 8s. Papalii warming into the game.

taniwharugby

aww c'mon, TJ, you coulda got that, didnt need to pass!

NIcely done though

KiwiMurph

Nock gets better every week - now he is starting to run.

antipodean

Amazing how well the Blues are starting to play now they have developed some confidence in themselves and their processes.

taniwharugby

@antipodean plus players being given chances to build combos rather than previous years chop and change for the sake of it

Duluth

@taniwharugby

I think there have been plenty of changes. Think of the loosies last year. The team is more organised

taniwharugby

@Duluth but there seems there has been more of a plan around changes as opposed to just changing week in week out despite form.

Duluth

@taniwharugby

I think it’s just people don’t complain about changes when the team is winning

Duluth

Great maul defence again. Credit to Coventry

KiwiMurph

Walsh and Renata have struggled at scrum time.

Chris B.

If they cancel Super Rugby right now - the Blues win! 🙂

taniwharugby

disappointing final 15, but the Blues had done the job already, and presently sit atop of the table.

African Monkey

@taniwharugby I was impressed with our attitude on defence personally. Good to see us not let in easy tries at the end.

It's funny how one penalty kick from Otere Black on the bell against the Bulls can do confidence wise. If he missed then we'd probably be in our usual spot of 12th. or something. Better enjoy this rich vein of form while it lasts haha, you never know when it could turn to custard for us again.

taniwharugby

@African-Monkey oh yeah the defence was great, especially on thier line, but was more they had the opportunity to really put them to the sword and didnt/couldnt take it, but I guess this team is still realising it's potential...nek minut no more games.

African Monkey

@taniwharugby Oh yeah I get your point, but I'll take a 43-10 win any day of the week even if we could have put more on them. I guess it won't matter as it looks like the season will be called off haha.

It's like raaaaaiiin....when you just learned to play...

nzzp

Back from the game, and absolutely stoked with the team, and for the team and wider coaching group. These boys look fantastic; it's been a long time coming, but they are finally starting to play some proper rugby. What's really noticeable is the rugby nous - they've stiffened the defence and make good decisions consistently. Not perfect, and a lot of work to do, but an absolute pleasure to watch.

Not surprised at the tiny crowd given everything going on.

Not bad, probably 12k I'd say

Stuff say 15,000. NOt bad given what's going on; gutted that this is probably teh last round for a while.

Kirwan

Fun to watch, left about six trys out there that on another day we could have scored.

Most pleasing thing for me is the tackles around the legs dropping people, felt like hardly any were missed.

Tim

Karl T in doubt for next week. Papalii failed his HIA. Pierce may have a hand injury.

Bones

@Tim how old and experienced is Pierce? Showed good endeavour but reeeeally clumsy eh.

Unlikely to be any game anyway

Tim

@Bones 22 years old. This is his second year of Super Rugby, but the first year he's gotten game time. Last year was his first real season of NPC, and he's played 8 games.

Duluth

@Tim future AB, but not this year

kiwiinmelb

Been a long time coming , but they are looking promising now , building nicely

ACT Crusader

Great coaching.

Blues playing with a lot more width and freedom. The defensive system is really coming along and that is building the confidence in attack.

Duffy looks a different player and when he comes into the line as a playmaking option he’s making better decisions.
