I have got say this , given the Steamers roster and the quality they have got in terms of super players and they could still turn this around i have been quite underwelmed and that not being offensive to the magpies
Their coach being Darryl Gibson might explain this.
He has big shoes to fill. So far I’d have Clayton back in a heartbeat if the Chiefs have to have Gatland return for 2022.
Well done the Bay, I didn't know what was happening with the rules at the end, but if I were the holder of the shield and a potential rule change impacted that, I would be pissed. So happy for you to win on the scoreboard legit.
Thought we might win given our dominance in the second 40, but you guys held strong. Anyway well done from this BoP supporter
Well done Hawkes Bay. Bop made too many critical errors to deserve it. Poor effort by Trask on the high ball. HB seemed to have greater commitment throughout. But Ratave and Selby Rickit had tremendous games.

Hawkes Bay are now The Bay
This.
Can the mods now change the thread title and the tags, please.
Hawke's Bay and of Plenty for the next 12 months. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I think you all need to check the small print. I think Hawke's retain the Ranfurly Shield due to a draw on 80 minutes. It has been that way for over a century and some marketing fuckers do not change that with their pathetic golden point which absolutely nobody wants.
Likewise the Battle of the Bays is retained in the same way .....
Thought Hawke's Bay were slightly the better team in a very well matched game. Otere Black turned it for us and I'm still angry about the offside that allowed it to be level. You literally had one job at that point and even I could see the idiot was a yard offside.
