@Crucial It was a tough decision, but I thought I better go to my BIL's 50th in Auckland. 😉

I am peeved at the timing too, as it takes me out. Any of the other 3 would have worked....

Tim

Best chance of an upset?

It's playoff time and I'm still not sure what McMillan thinks is our best 23.

I'd be feeling really good if I was the Tahs.

I'm still pleased though, as I was pretty sure we'd lose to the Canes based on how we are going, so I think we have a stronger chance against the Tahs.

Either way, it won't matter as we won't be beating the Saders twice in a season at their home with this team.

Bovidae

If you like stats, the Chiefs have never lost a playoff game at home (small sample size). Their away record is very good this year so they wouldn't be daunted with a SF in Chch.

Looking forward to the game, and I don't trust the Tahs to go quietly!

Law of small samples/numbers effectively means we are now fucked. I'm going to blame you too 🙂

@gt12 I'm more comfortable playing NSW than the Hurricanes (or any NZ derby). Of course the Chiefs will need to step up their performance to win because NSW are much-improved. Let's see what team is selected.

Chiefs co-captain Sam Cane is set to miss Saturday’s Super Rugby Pacific quarterfinal against the Waratahs, as he sits out a second week with a knee injury.

The All Blacks skipper sat out much of Tuesday’s training, and while assistant coach David Hill wasn’t ruling the veteran openside flanker out, it’s understood he will indeed be sidelined for the match at FMG Stadium Waikato (4.35pm kickoff).
Bovidae

The same starting forward pack and reserves then.

Surely you can sneak in an iPad to “check urgent work emails”

Brynn Hall is picking this one for a potential upset.

I don't know why but I can't help but think the Chiefs have not played like they are the 3rd best side in the comp. Full credit to the team for getting the points but they have not really hit their straps
