Huge effort for Samoa, left it all on the pitch and gave England a massive scare but it’s tough when you’re taking on 16 men.
Why isn't the TMO asking the ref to look at the lifting tackle on Sopoaga? Looked like a pen/yellow to me?
To all those people saying the reffing seems biased against the likes of Fiji, Samoa, etc, I can tell you, your not conspiracy theorists. The rugby folks in Cornwall are of a similar mind and don't need to be prompted to bring it up.

It was right there for Samoa to win it, but that dropped ball 5m out cost them.
The reffing overall was poor. Thought in the first half Samoa were getting a lot of leeway at the ruck. Then a number of calls (and non-calls) went England’s way in the second 40.

Just watching the highlights. That first England penalty for a “check” on Farrel on the chip through was a joke. Are you supposed to actively get out of the attackers way now so they can score??
England disallowed try for forward pass, get awarded a penalty instead - I rewound 5 times and couldn’t se what for? Maybe the highlights missed it?
Jeez, I know Samoa were a man down, but you can’t really whinge about the ref when you concede a try like that to lose

Sopoaga superb game.
One of his missed kicks for touch was crucial in helping England get points. That first easy missed penalty would have helped too.
But certainly the rest of his game was far superior to Leali'ifano.
