Wales are certainly going all out to try and win this one by naming 16 reserves, bold strategy

Attack of the Clones

MiketheSnow

Very disappointing that Plumtree was brought in and not used, seeing as we have Freddie Thomas who can cover 5, 6, 7 at a push, and 8.

Would much rather have seen Max Llewelyn brought in to partner Eddie James in the midfield.

We convert our opportunities, we win.

We don't, we lose.

Sounds trite but that's where we are. We had loads of ball against the Frogs and did 4/5 of fuck all with it.

I want to see Wales, England and Scotland win, but I think I'll be disappointed in all three

pooler fan

@MiketheSnow totally agree on Max Llewellyn, find it crazy that he's not involved especially since the Watkin injury.
The one truly in form three-quarter we have at the moment and Gats doesn't pick him. 🤔

Yeah that's a three from three that would be a safe bet.

I know Scotland have struggled of late against Ireland but never knew quite HOW bad. 10 losses in a row !

African Monkey

Didn't even know Faletau was still playing.

Dafydd Jenkins and Liam Williams out of the Welsh XV, Freddie Thomas and Blair Murray take their places.
Teddy Williams and Josh Hathaway onto the bench.

sparky

Just to about to start. 12 of the Italian lineup were victors in Cardiff last year. Can they make history again?

Two stirring renditions of the anthems, despite the rain.

sparky

Nearly a very early Welsh try. But the cross field kick didn't quite sit up for Josh Adams. Lively start.

pooler fan

@sparky closer than we got in the 80 last week. 🙄😁

"Field position is important in the game"

Genius insight from Miles Harrison

sparky

Lots of kicking. Nine lineouts already.

sparky

Conditions not helping but neither of these are easy sides to watch.

sparky

Kick over from Ben Thomas.

Italy 3 Wales 3

Cat and mouse from both teams.

Victor Meldrew

Great finish after a good kick from Garbisi

Zero attacking shape to Wales' "gameplan"

Zero attacking shape to Wales' "gameplan"

Arguably the worst Welsh team I've seen in the last couple of decades, sadly.

Victor Meldrew

Italy the more intelligent team by far.

African Monkey

Wales getting outmuscled up front so far. They did however have some success attacking the blindside, so something for them to attack in the 2nd half.

sparky

Italy ahead 16-3 at the break and well deserving their lead.

sparky

If the result stays like this then Georgia will sit above Wales in the world rankings for the first time.

sparky

Wales 40 minutes from what would be their 14th consecutive defeat.

sparky

Energetic start to the second half by Wales by let down by poor kicking.

Josh Adams not doing his Lions chances any harm. Looks hungry.

Victor Meldrew

Welsh kicking is awful. Italy's way better.

Fuck me

sparky

I've muted and listening to the Radio 5 Live commentary.

sparky

No shape to the Wales attack whatsoever.

Wales have an attack?

sparky

Josh Adams given a YC and could be upgraded.

Now he could be red carded.

"The Bunker" will review that one with interest.
