Match thread

they needed that ...

Thought Reece was gonna run out of legs or sink into the turf

antipodean

That puts a pause on the Tahs comeback.

Fihaki and Havilli with the missed tackle saved by Christie

ACT Crusader

Kellow and Christie on together, we have a couple of vultures out there.

ACT Crusader

Not a bad idea but a poor line ran.

Landers92

This penalty count is really starting to climb…

Landers92

Great try. Fihaki why are you coming in there?!

ACT Crusader

Dropped it or try?

ACT Crusader

Finger tips on it

That's a try surely

ACT Crusader

More replays than the NFL

antipodean

on what planet is that control of the ball?

This is the problem with slow motion TMO. In real time it looked like a try. Award it.

How dumb was that penalty from the Tahs ?

ACT Crusader

Shot JOC.

41-28 good guys.

ACT Crusader

Nice set piece move.

Christie gets a try. He’s played the house down.

ACT Crusader

48-28 good guys.

Superb set piece try from the Saders

antipodean

That was a very nice bit of skill from Reece.

ACT Crusader

Our backline caught out of position. Nice kick and try by the Tahs.

ACT Crusader

High scoring game that was played in heavy under foot conditions.

Winger* I’ll give you 1 guess who it was

Chris

Happy with that win away against a desperate tahs and no Jordan,Taylor,Barrett,Newell and Blackadder.
Reihana,Christie and McNicol were really good.
Bench was good Bell,Bower,Cahill,Kellow and OConnor were very good off the bench.

NTA

Better than I was expecting. Particularly after the first 18 minutes

They will need to go up a notch next week for the Brumbies in Canberra. Probably bring in the guys who were rested you would imagine.

Certainly hope they do although I wouldnt want to rush Jordan and risk further damage unless his knee is 100% .....true for everybody with a knee injury (other injuries are available)

They play the Highlanders at home next. Should have most of their players back in time for the Brumbies.

Shalfoon showing his true grub colours and walking away when a bigger man than him gets involved. lol

What's he supposed to do? Stand there and act tough? Start a fight? He'd be criticised for that too.

Cheers George 🤌

Yeah - nice one, @george33!

Tahs will be disappointed with a lot of the tries they let us score. Sometimes seemed like it was Christmas in Sydney.

Then for a while in the second half, seemed like the Grinch might steal Xmas back. In the end they left themselves far too much to do - so just another exchange of gifts at the end.

When I played under-11s last century, the one thing you did as a wing was look at where the opposing wing was standing - and mark him.

It seems that it's still apparently a tactic to have a compressed defensive line and leave the wide wing alone - invite the cross kick. But even at Super level, these days most first fives are good enough to find their wing with a cross kick most of the time, so I don't get why that kick is ever left uncontested.

booboo

Not sure who the comms were (think Turunui was one), but quite tiresome around the disputed tries.

In both cases the decision was both wrong and right. Process in both cases led to decision on clear and obvious, but you'd have to argue that on balance of probabilities was wrong.

The grub ran in from 10-15metres away to escalate it and backed off when a lock bigger than him confronted him. Just pointing out the fact he’s a grub, nothing more.
