Better to have players available this time of year than at the start I guess. Reds are there for the taking by the looks of it, then again they still look strong on paper.

This game is also a fight for 4th place which could ultimately determine the 1st loser from the quarters. I say that loosely as there is still plenty of water to flow under the bridge but the winner of this game will be in the box seat for that position going into the last round.

They haven't had a chance because one of them has always been injured or has come off the bench. I think this is the first time all of them have started.

I'm not a fan. Kirifi should be the straight out captain IMO.

Yep, confirmed on Stuff. He played 25 minutes against the Landers with a broken leg and then they only found out the extent of the injury before hopping on a plane to Queensland. He was apparently originally named to start against the Reds.

I was reading somewhere today that the Reds haven’t beaten the Canes since 2013. The Hurricanes have won 13 of their last 14 Super Rugby Pacific matches against the Queensland Reds, including each of their last nine by an average margin of 16.6 points per game

That’s a pretty decent record, hope we don’t break that run this week.

I'm hoping for a big game from Daniel Sinkinson. He's a bit of an unknown for many Australian teams and he could be a surprise factor. At only 24 he seems like a big, rangy lad with speed that could cause some damage down the right side if given space. I never thought much of him but he was impressive in a quarter final loss against the Brumbies a few years ago. Haven't seen too much of him since because of Moorby, Rayasi and Naholo last year but he might be a surprise package for us heading into the latter stages of Super.

In saying that, I think Sullivan starts when he gets over his head knock.
