@booboo don't think 77 to 83 will have been much of a gap. Should be quite a few on the list. John Fleming and Mike McCool are two that come to mind
Oops 6 years not 16 ... maths ...

Aidan Ross and JTA - two NZers that will play against the BIL for the second time but for two different provincial/franchise teams. Who else has done that also?
I had a quick look at some names. Some of the obvious old-timers (e.g., Wilson Whineray) were often playing for different provinces in non-BIL tour years. There is at least one player and former AB who has achieved this - Graeme Higginson. He played for Canterbury against the Lions in 1977 and for Hawke's Bay in 1983.
And as @ARHS said, John Fleming (Wellington in 1977, Waikato in 1983).

and by all accounts it's hot as shit so better get the pints in!
As opposed to Brisbane which is pretty fresh by Qld standards today, currently 18, feels like 13. Windy as hell from the west, gusting to almost 50kms.
bro it's amazing another 1,800 km further north, currently a very cool 22 feels like 20. reckon i might even need a 2nd layer tonight....

Brial is the guy we let get away. He’d be the perfect 6 for us now.
His old man was a wallaby who biffed frank bunce - he was never gonna be an AB

Will the Reds attempt a penalty kick if given the chance?
good question.. would it be their first in 2025?

Nah they took penalties in the Canes game from memory.
I can't watch today and am listening to TalkSport, which Ben Kay is doing his best to turn into a listenable version but the commentator is appalling, no idea where the ball is on the pitch, who's got it, what's happening, he thinks he's a summariser on TMS.
Therefore any fuller descriptions of incidents would be appreciated
