antipodean

Deserved start and captaincy for Owen.

Dodge

Have to say, I don't really get the Owen Farrell hate, he wasn't selected on tour originally as he wasn't one of the best 3 10's, but once he's on the plane then why wouldn't you use him and why wouldn't he lead? Even Finn Russell talked about the impact he had on him before the first test. Every team he's ever been in has talked about him as an incredible leader and he can't not have made a positive impact on this tour.

MiketheSnow

Really gutted for Darcy

He was playing himself in to a 2nd Test start

Bones

This game is reminding me of the other frustrating as fuck feature from the weekends games. Halfbacks doing all sorts of fuckaboutery with the ball at the back of the ruck.

IMO, if you put hands on the ball then take them off, ball should be out. It's getting ridiculous watching the ball get rolled by hand, picked up and put in a better place, with the odd gratuitous roll by foot. Horrid.

Bones

What the? How was that not a penalty for the blatantly late tackle?

MiketheSnow

Great watch
Exciting

No Lions playing themselves in

Finn Smith and Farrell combo doesn’t work

NTA

Loving the niggle. Just getting up to the last 10 minutes of the first half.

Blond Smith playing himself out of contention.

Kalani Thomas is fucking killing the FNP with his step step delivery

MiketheSnow

Kinghorn off, M Smith on

He’s in the 23

MiketheSnow

George has done enough too

Back up hooker for Saturday

NTA

Thomas fucks up again. Get him off

Speaking of front rows: surely Porter isn't the second best loose head in the squad?
He's hardly the best scrummager

KiwiMurph

These Stan commentators are getting more insufferable the longer the tour goes - cheerleaders would be more balanced

canefan

The Lions are threatening to pull away with the game as the penalty count climbs

Remember: they're selling this to a loig audience where unbridled bias is the point

canefan

FNP fighting hard on D, keeping it close

NTA

How good is it for that McLeod guy? Plays club Rugby in Canberra and just out there ripping in with internationals

canefan

That attacking chip kick would have excited BB. What a waste of valuable ball

KiwiMurph

That was such a well constructed try

Duluth

Anyone know the pre match odds?

Duluth

@NTA Yeah I was expecting a gap of 60 points

canefan

FNP hanging around and hot on attack. This is close

canefan

They have to keep the ball in hand

MiketheSnow

Lions have been poor

Too cute, not direct enough

canefan

Why did McLeod kick it? Probably wouldn't have gone 60m but jeez don't kick it away with time over

KiwiMurph

Kicking the ball was a bold play haha

Yeetyaah

Why did he kick it

Bones

I'll forever be perplexed at the thought process going through a player's head when they kick long upon hearing the hooter.

NTA

Wanted the chase but there was no way they could get closer than the chasing players.

And probably played league growing up

MiketheSnow

Well done FNP

If they’d had a hard running 12 trucking it up and committing the back row and 10/12 channel they could easily have won this

canefan

The last Lions try came on the back of another ill advised chip kick. But FNP put up a brave fight

NTA

Every Lions player out there looking unhappy bc they know they just shit the bed in terms of selection

Torian

First nations Pasifika bloody great effort fair play proved a real contest. Stoked my Scottish wingers and Lions 1-12 multi came in tho

KiwiMurph

There should be some people involved in that AUNZ team (coaches and players) who should be feeling sheepish watching that game.

The less fancied FNP were far far better in comparison.
