As an aside - I thought BOK was outstanding
Nope
What'd he get wrong?

Too many steroids
The boks aerobic fitness was awful, the faster pace of super rugby this year might have helped the aussies
Replacement THP looked a candidate for the dietician.

Joe Schmidt seems to be living on pre Farrell Ireland reputation.. hasnβt added much to any team heβs been involved with since then, and Ireland have been better under Farrell. A bit like Plumtree. Posers

Campese wiping egg off his face this morning as well. Cripes, how many times has that schmuck opened his mouth and it's been the opposite.
Sounds like he has a strong jinx game
Watching back now.
2 things I'm loving about Wilson's try at the start of the second half:
Ox Nche looking like the useless, unfit passenger he is.
The crowd having a sook about the pass

I thought it was slightly forward and expected the hometown director to bring it to the attention of the TMO.
I also thought it made literally no difference to the outcome and was pleasantly surprised the try stood.

Well done Wallabies. A thoroughly deserved and convincing victory.
You held your own in the scrums, dominated the Boks in the lineouts and never allowed the Bok maul to get going. Great work at the breakdown and then really good work to open up the Bok defence for some great tries.
The Boks managed to look good for 20 minutes and then seemed to completely lose all rugby IQ.
Hugely frustrating as a Bok fan but there are always 2 teams on the park, and this time the guys in gold were simply better - by a lot.
There will be some hard introspection in that Bok camp, that's for sure.

Ok I was wrong
Not sure why the Boks decided to play touch footy instead of just bashing us.
Next week is going to be wayyyyy different
Great thing for the Wobs is even if they are demolished next week, the tour will always be considered a strong success and this particular game will be remembed for pleny of years to come.

Sean Maloney sounding like he's ejaculating.
Big Seanny is an absolute top bloke and an absolute Rugby nuffy.
He's played various levels in Sydney and knows the landscape here very well - the good, bad, and ugly.
He's a champion for the game here and his love of the game is unparalleled.
Yeah don't mind him personally. Gets excited in the commentary box during games, nothing wrong with that.

The emphasis they're going to take to the breakdown suggests it will be brutal and TMO interjections could be numerous.

Libbok is shit. In case anyone didn't know
Equally shit is Willemse
Aren't they part of the four teams they could pick that could beat anybody?
So much unbeatable depth.
I wasnβt able to watch yesterday but caught the score. Now 20 mins into the game and trying to come up with a movie reference or some kind of sports comparison to reflect on how it turns out.
Boks fans dancing in the stands right now.
Update: Mexican wave at 23:30.
Only watched the highlights but just saw a tweet, did the Boks really do the midfield lineout with 8 mins to go whilst 11 points behind?!

Once they got early success maybe they just fell in love with high tempo rugby, and couldn't revert back to plan A when it started going sideways?
I've only seen the highlights but bloody hell what a start for SA and what a bloody turnaround from Aus.
2 points of surprise for me:-

It was loodicrous
Surely one of those Aussie back 3 have some kiwi heritage?
What a joy to see them running in space like that.
Cracking game, I thought SA would win by 60 after 10 mins. The mental game to stay in that contest was incredible.
I think T2 will be really tight. These Aussies have belief now.

2 points of surprise for me:-
- I thought Nic White had retired?
- The clear out by Nche in the lead up to the first try had echoes of Morgan's clear out but nothing mentioned/whined about?
They convinced White to come back after Gordon was injured.
Just not going near ruck clean outs ...

I watched the replay on Stan this morning
After 10mins Iβd heard the names White and Hooper and JOC, and I had to wonder if Iβd accidentally put on a replay of a game from 10 years ago!

Which shows that Etzebeth is a shit captain, and Libbok is a shit flyhalf.

And I realise all the fucking Boklodytes will want to shove those words down my throat when they win next week, but the point stands: like Lions Test 2, you gave up a handy lead and dominant position, and those 2 were responsible, being in charge at the time
@stodders said in Boks v Wobblies I:
@NTA thatβs what happens when your captain canβt last more than 45 mins. ABs take note
I don't get why - Kolisi looks fit as fuck and should be bossing it for 80 like Ardie does.
Yeah sure Bomb Squad but fmd he's a good player - is someone on that bench honestly better than him in terms of play and/or leadership?

Just caught the extended highlights, that was so much fun to watch. Well done Wallabies! Man I wish Schmidt was our coach
Have always said, he would have been ideal as the senior mentor (only one with international experience) in razors coaching team or as the AB head coach
