Torian

Expecting a big game from Jacomb he has been the talk of the town after all 🙂

SouthernMann

JRK's short kicking game is one of his biggest assets.

He’s started very well.

Dragging a tackled player over the line should be a penalty for not releasing.

This ref misses so much

Torian

Hawkes Bay 12 from Namibia? Having a good game

Yeah the guy who got smashed when we played them

Shame for Fakatava. Hes had a great game

Torian

Taranaki 8 having no luck at all

McClutchie looking pretty good at halfback

Sullivan has been showing JRK how its done in the first half.

That looked like an incredibly dubious call. Try. No forward pass.

Bit of a shame, surely business end of the competition deserves a bit more consistent officiating than what’s on display in this game.

ACT Crusader

Naki losing the collisions. They need fresh legs.

ACT Crusader

Take the 3

Blame Dan Waenga, the local AR. You see him motioning it went forward.

KiwiMurph

A good example of why IWL has never gotten a genuine shot at test level

ACT Crusader

Looked good

KiwiMurph

Rough on Naki

ACT Crusader

Ref was in a terrible position

ACT Crusader

Need a score in the next 90 seconds.

ACT Crusader

Terrible LO tactics in that situation.

Yeah it was silly however his arm first connects with Jacombs forearm then rides up to a seatbelt so probably only a penalty. Low degree of danger.

Still hes not quite good enough for higher honours for mine.

If he wasn’t so lazy and actually had brains he’d surely have gone on to higher honours. A shame really.

KiwiMurph

Zarn has had a stormer

ACT Crusader

Rona, hospital pass.

Jacomb isn’t the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy

frugby

Once again, it is beyond me how Fakatava is rated so poorly by our national selectors.

Jacomb and Kneepkins have been absolutely schooled by McClutchie and Sullivan on how to run a backline attack.

KiwiMurph

Jacomb reminds me a bit of Perofeta in that in wide open games he can look a million bucks but it doesnt always translate in tighter games

I do think the hype is over the top - of course that's not his fault.

He's still young so let's hope he continues to improve.

frugby

@KiwiMurph Yep. He's a Sopoaga level talent, not say B Barrett level... that said, the All Blacks are crying out for someone of the level of Sopoaga (circa 2014-2017).

Playing week in week out under pressure should hopefully iron out some of the kinks. Didn't think he was terrible tonight, but hard behind a pack which was going backwards.
