Landers92

Fakatava has bailed Zarn out there… wow. Terrible option from Zarn a few phases earlier

ACT Crusader

No direction coming from Knewstubb.

Landers92

Absolutely bombed try from HB there

Canes4life

How did HB not score that?

Hawke’s Bay have got to nail these chances

Landers92

Justin Marshall somehow talking up Canterbury after being under the pump from HB the last 5mins😂😂😂 the guy is something else

ACT Crusader

Good build up by the Good Guys.

22-14 Good Guys

ACT Crusader

Bell is playing a whale of a game.

Torian

George Bell is having a great season rapid big hooker

@Canes4life Not his best work McClutchie , Sullivan for mine has been very poor possesses a big boot but takes poor options with ball in hand

NTA

Canterbury matching marching towards another final host gig.

Boring.

ACT Crusader

Christie makes the right call to go for the scrum next to the posts.

Try time.

That’s game you would think. A few opportunist tries from the Canterbury and then kicking into gear dominating the last 5 or so mins and get a well worked try on the board.

Tough for HB. Almost their own worst enemy

Well looks that way now doesn't it hopefully Tony brown or Josh Kronfield visit the Otago lads this week and give them a motivational speech for the ages 🙂

Landers92

That earlier bomber try from HB early in the second half has proved to be massive. Could have been a completely different game

Real shame Zach Gallagher is heading overseas

Torian

I'm gonna say it McLeod has won me over lately although is there a world where he would actually start ahead of Havili in super?

Unfortunately we are seeing Fakatava’s weakness exposed his high kick game is very average

Moving to blindside has been the making of Gallagher.

Agree @Steven-Harris on Fakatava, it’s why he can’t play tests for mine - and another bombed kick there

ACT Crusader

Try time.

Some players have played themselves to a standstill.

Folau’s box kick was in slow motion!

Torian

It's a shame George Bell won't be playing in the grand final isn't it, don't know why Jase doesn't take Slater or J Taylor as cover to in the interim

@zedsdeadbaby even Richard Judds high kicks were on point last night even though they lost most of those contestables

Do you know that for sure? Could be huge if so

frugby

@Landers92 ABs leave on Wednesday, so him and Darry will be out.

Played his heart out for 65 odd mins leading up to that. Probably shouldn’t have been on. Him and Flanders were carrying Hawkes Bay tonight

Landers92

This Ripley has looked handy since coming on

@Landers92 certainly was’nt being critical of his efforts on the field tonight but just highlighting an area of his game that’s a weakness that he will have to rectify moving forward
He’s a superb player when he’s probing or working in with his forwards with ball in hand

Is Manumaua Letiu injured?

Bell, Fakatava, Flanders, Rakete Stones, Christie, McLeod, Failagi, Darry all played pretty well. One to forget for Mclutchie and Sullivan after good seasons. Think the game was pretty much a foregone conclusion with both starting midfielders out.

Torian

@hikastags idk but Colin Mansbridge told the press this week the young fella is a possible future ABs captain 😮

Clinical from Canterbury. Outclassed Hawkes Bay.

Nepia

Congrats Canterbury, too good for our small province. 😉 Defence was too good in the second half, we always look better with the ball than without, and Canterbury negated that.

But, was a bloody good season for us, I didn't expect us to make the top 4 so we overachieved there, won the Battle of the Bays, and a lot of our hometown guys had really good seasons (Zarn, Fakatava, Lowe, Flanders etc) along with some of the imports like Miracle.

Well I guess that players would rather be with ABs anyway.

Torian

@Dan54 overall in general obviously but in Bells case the John McGlashen old boy getting the chance to play in a final against Otago of all teams is an opportunity gone begging 🙂 as an Otago fan however more than happy to not see George or Sam next week lol
