• Uruguay continued to show spirit: after a Black XV mistake, their forwards set up a move and Deus scored (26–21, 56′).

Amazing we won given they have god on their side (and scoring freely!)
Also, we won with a French ref! Incroyable!

Looking forward to more games against Uruguay, that team has some fantastic names.

I'm going to say this again, isn't Rona worth trying out at 13? Solid perhaps, but isn't that a good thing for a 13 in our current predicament?

Anyone know anything about this game apart from the final score? Like who scored the tries?

It's not even on NZR+, how the fuck did NZR organise this game and not at least have the broadcast included for their own app.

The one asterisk with my comment is that the app is so badly organised it makes Amazon Prime look well organised, so there's an outside chance the highlights are there and I can't find them.

Because they know these guys can play their heart out and only get picked for the ABs due to injury?

I found the dodgiest of live feeds from quite literally someone on their phone. It cut out more times than a Saffa forward getting treatment from a trainer.

From what I did see, the back 3 played alright. Rivez looked pretty good. Overall the game resembled a good quality super rugby match more than anything.

I haven’t really followed the non-playing news around this tour, but wasn’t there an issue here about the relocation of this match? Not sure if that impacted on getting crew etc to broadcast properly.

This must be the expertise we're paying Silverlake for.

Yes, moved from Montpellier to Béziers, which is nearby. The FFR must have been in charge of the game as they appointed the ref, and I assume would have been responsible for any broadcast.

Yes there was a last minute relocation.

Yes there was a last minute relocation.

We have quite a different take on what last minute means, unless it was moved again after the 23rd October?

@Duluth Thanks.

No commentary. It looks like that was filmed on someone's IPhone. Great to see NZR putting the fans first.

Looks to me like it was your standard game video for analysis. Probably not capable of broadcasting live, but they surely could have come up with something.

@Bones And I prefer that commentary to one with Justin Marshall.

That higher span view from that angle did provide a better look of that backline try and the formation out wide.

After making hard work of Fatty BaaBaas the NZXV settled into producing some good rugby.

@Duluth backline shape looking nice there, still some of that shape with the tag off the back of a pod ball off 9. But there were a couple plays where a midfielder actually steps into that role, as opposed to (De Groot/Scott Barrett).
That try to ENS down the right is a real nice look at a stacked backline which i havent seen much of from ABs, that looked real good for the U20s - though was a bloody good offload from fihaki to actually make the try happen
