A lot of people, and rightly so, said Kirifi should get a look in after his super rugby season. He was pretty good. He (rather predictably in hindsight) didn't have the skills to make an impact in the international game.
Parker was the form 6 in super rugby (amongst pretty slim picking).
Neither were terrible decisions, they've just been disappointing

Because Plumtree wrapped. It would have been a legal tackle if he'd hit lower (whereas the two SA ones were ruled to have never been legal due to no wrap).

I hate that Reece is selected as long term is pointless. But people do forget that he bitched the Chiefs in the final and completely outclassed Carter

Kirifi's selection for the EOYT was stupid. It was fair enough to pick him for the RC as he had a good SR, but the selectors should have seen how little impact he had in the RC and not persisted with him.

@Grooter I think we were probably worse in 1998 but this is certainly one of the worst ABs team since I started watching them in the mid-1980s
