Scotland actually coming back to win a match is definite progress.

Bad luck @mikethesnow, big game for your boys coming up against Italy.

Can’t see the Scots troubling France or Ireland so a bottom to mid table finish beckons as usual ! Curse that Italy game.

sparky

A much better performance by Wales, even if they couldn't quite get over the winning line.

Dan54

Well I got quite hopeful for a while, but Welsh boys certainly would of got a few of their supporters feeling that perhaps there is reason to hope again?

Wish Wales had been a bit braver as opposed to taking the 3 points on offer
Incremental sets of 3 was never gonna take Wales out of reach from a potential Scotland comeback
On the upside that’s a massive improvement on where Wales have been in the first 2 rounds

MiketheSnow

Thanks boys

Just watched the highlights in baggage claim in Luton Airport

EasyJet flight 3hrs late so I’m stuck here until 6am tomorrow

Far better performance across the board from us

Costelow had a very good match and was worthy of inclusion

If we weren’t on such a shit streak we would have gotten that one over the line

But fair play to Scotland, they stuck to it

A bit of luck and some good play saw them scrape home

Hawkins should have seen red
Terrible reffing

Williams was a legitimate clean out from the highlights I saw
No degree of danger
Terrible reffing

antipodean

Welsh supporters must be furious watching 10 secs of inattention lose them a deserved victory.

Yep

But winning try should have been disallowed as 8 joined maul in front of 16 who had ball and drove a channel for 16 to score

But when you are down the calls go against you

Wales got a penalty, but slept on the kick off. Darcy Graham in.

That was the turning point of the game. More-so than the penalty reversal for Williams.

Stuck in the worst place on Earth, 🤯

Southland would beat both these teams

You must be joking.

The forwards across NZ super have been dismal.

Early rounds, yes, but “powder puff” super rugby forwards are back.

With worse defence.

No I’m completely serious.

But in all seriousness, if that’s the case, why is every second rate Nz forward approached by French and URC teams offering them €130,000+ to play for them?

Because they’re not tied to the international window

And NZ selectors have been known to get it wrong

There are blokes in the Top14, URC, and Prem rugby that would struggle to crack starting NPC teams, are now playing 60+ mins a game.

Reality is these club competitions are bloated by NZ, Aussie, and South African import. If it was entirely local talent, it would be almost unwatchable

Club rugby is not international rugby, so not apples with apples.

Watching super back to back with 6N, I just think the super teams look way off size, weight and ruck commitment compared to 6N. Yes, the same apples vs apples rule applies, but you did say southland would beat them …

The Scottish backrow that thrashed England didn’t have a player over a 110kgs and 6”3….

Probably why their offering someone like Oli Haig the big bucks (a player some have argued would only be a bench super rugby player) because they’re so massive!

I don’t follow your argument at all.

I think your original argument was arrogant kiwi stuff which I hate & I’ve also been less than impressed with NZ super rugby teams so far.

So really can’t comprehend how you could think an NPC team coukd beat any 6N team.

It's a shame the NZRFU didn't send Southland on the end of year tour. They probably would have gotten a Grand Slam.

We can only hope that Riley Higgens choose Scotland so they can become a vaguely competitive team at International level.

The Southland comment was a piss take

The rest of it was you saying that the kiwi teams looked undersized and the defence is terrible. To which I said, then why do the NH clubs constantly offer big bucks to fringe NZ players? Kinda contradicts your position if your competitions are propped up from 2nd rate players from the competition you are saying is inferior
