Two back rowers standing there staring at a ruck that’s under pressure and almost gets turned over. Ffs
The Reds have identified how short the landers get on defence after 3-4 rucks. The space is always there

That was some rather shit defence. You could see that Highlanders were two players short after Reds had a few phases of slow ball. Huge gap was obvious out wide.

Not sure where any composure or leadership is liklye to come from ... Jack Taylor maybe..... but we need far quicker service from the rucks.

Taylor doesn’t seem like a leader. De Groot obviously can’t. We won’t get quick service with a backrow that’s allergic to cleaning out rucks because they’re rather get a carry
Considering what the Reds have shown, we are fortunate to be within 12. Which is fine.
Our attacking threats have been poor and theirs have been really good.
We aren't out of it. We just can't concede quicky.
Hasn't been a happy hunting fround. Last time we played there, got pantsed 31 zip.

I think Jack Taylor ooozes leadership. It is just he is only 22 and putting a responsibility like tjat on him now wouldn't be fair.

Early days in the season but the quality among the NZ sides is the worst I can recall for a long time.

Really? I can’t say I know much about him so I’ll take that. Agreed, leading a somewhat dysfunctional team at that age won’t help. Is he captain of the stags?

Really? I can’t say I know much about him so I’ll take that. Agreed, leading a somewhat dysfunctional team at that age won’t help. Is he captain of the stags?
Withy is captain of the Stags.
From what I can see Taylor does a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Also a big hype man.

Yeah, strange take, he's already captained the side in pre-season and is likely already one of the most well respected within the group.
