How does he keep getting super rugby contracts.

How can they think he's better than Viljoen?
Barrett is fucking hopeless. Hasn’t changed since he left to Ireland. I said it before he left, he’s not a 12s arsehole. Barely ever gets over the advantage line.

Nothing says we don’t want to win like kicking it away
the Drua were happy to kick it away knowing the canes would kick it back or drop it.

@canefan Story of the Hurricanes isn’t it always scared to muscle up try and do the flashy crap
The year the Blues won it all we played smashmouth rugby too. But yes we have been flakey more times than not
Same old shit with the Hurricanes. Flat track bullies that never front when the going gets tough. Embarrassing performance.
Roigard, Barrett, Proctor, Aumua were all crap.
IWL proving again why he’s the dumbest player in NZ rugby.
A fitting end
Fun game
Canes did a lot right but bottled in the second half - starting with Moorby's deadshit interception
Game was there for the taking, but the fans as always gave the home side a boost and NZ teams continue to show a lack of smarts.
Can we bin Fiji as a playing destination. Absolute bullshit conditions on a not fit for purpose field.
Well that was a fair result. Drua handled conditions to the letter, and although it wasn't a hiding, it never looked like Canes winning it after the break in second half.
And @canes4life mate, as Jordie said both teams were on same filed.
@canefan some of the decision making by the canes in the final 15 was straight out of a comedy show
Once you get behind in those conditions it’s hard to pull things back but some of the options were right out key stone cops
I know both teams have to play what’s in front of them but in a modern day comp this ground surface is a disgrace

I just can’t believe with all the so called game drivers in the team, how dumb we played. It was pretty obvious that all you had to do to win this game was play territory and just truck it up the middle when we had the ball.
I’ve lost faith in Laidlaw, he’s not good enough when it comes to game tactics when the going gets tough and the continued selection of some very average players is baffling.

At least he has consistency...

Fiji should be binned as a playing destination until they improve their pitch. Pathetic really.
@Canes4life reminds me of some of the club grounds I played on in the 80s
Even those grounds have been improved on over the years
Just finished watching.
Was saying to Mrs Boo at 20 mins that the weather was the Drua's 16th player, and their best defender.
One of those games where the better team just couldn't get far enough away, kept leaving the door open and started becoming not the better team with panic ensuing.
Typical Drua game really.
Skills dealing with those conditions lacking.

If Razor was still the coach I'd say he'd be one of the first names picked midyear.
Lets hope Tupaea continues to play well.

Barrett’s are the biggest problem for the ABs

All I can say is - at least the Canes have shown us who they will be early in the year. Until their forwards show they can muscle the fuck up in close quarters, we don't have any chance against the big dogs in the comp.
But but but we look so good on a dry track and we are meant to be a lock for the championship this year…
100% agree with you.
