Torian

Mckenzie doesn't seem himself this season

Victor Meldrew

Dimiin McKinsey misses the penalty.

Yeetyaah

@Grooter something I've noticed is when he doesn't do the smile he misses, sounds crazy but I swear to God against the Crusaders he smiled the first few kicks and got them then stopped and started missing.

Landers92

Weird to not take the 3 after going for the 3 a couple mins earlier…

Yeetyaah

Anyway Quinn Fucking Tupaea

He's been rather shit tbh

Yeetyaah

I just don't understand how the Force get away with what they're doing at the ruck

Victor Meldrew

QT has been bloody good tonite

Yeetyaah

Absolute rubbish game but will take the win. Waratahs will be interesting but at least we'll be at home.

Victor Meldrew

Bit of a crap game. Commentary was more entertaining, TBF

Meh kind of game. Force had a chance to make it a grandstand finish with the Chiefs a man down but went wide which more often than not, doesn't end well for them. After that, the Chiefs just cruised home without getting out of 3rd gear. The only Force back who looked somewhat threatning was Kuenzle for a bit of that 2nd half, otherwise, another tough night for the Force backs.

Yeah, the force handled the yellow card badly, expected that tho
it was their big chance, and they f'd it up, of course

The Force go wide before getting over the gain line up the middle (like the Razor ABs)
If you cant get the gain up the middle, you are not likely to get a gain out wide.
Norris was yellow carded for a pro foul (well worth it as it turned out, the score was about to be levelled up).
Force didn't capitalise on the yellow card, and that was the game.
And their season.

The intensity was quite good from both sides; but both looked fatigued after the first 20, and took every opportunity to slow the game down from then on.
Which was a bit of surprise when today was the first day in Perth this year which wasn't stinkin f'n hot; and was quite ok for a game of rugby.

The Force didn't really allow the Chiefs to get out of third; but third was good enough to get it done.
And the Chiefs were not exactly cruising at the finish
going for the three towards the end (the one he missed) was a bit of a wow for me.
Thinking, oh, the Chiefs are actually feeling a bit anxious . . . concerned the Force might pull something out

Donaldson must be about the quickest player in the comp. Very sneaky fast. Not a surprise he had the Chiefs outsides covered.

Swap Kuenzle and Bridge.
Bridge got beat badly on the outside for the try.

@Grooter New dad syndrome. It’s a killer

I wish the Chiefs would play with more tempo. We saw that in patches in the 1st half with hard carries and quick ruck ball. That created opportunities against a retreating defence. The Force never looked like creating much in their backs and only looked threatening when camped on the goal line. If some of those last passes had stuck or a better option taken, the Chiefs could have been out of sight by HT.

I'm still puzzled why Finau was subbed and Parker moved to 6. Swain is still a grub.

Yup Kuenzle and Bridge have to swap. Kuenzle at least hits the line somewhat hard, and Stewart, despite being the journeyman of all journeymen, needs to start at 12, with Beale on the bench. Beale can still make a smallish impact with 20 to go, but as a starter, no. He looked old out there and couldn't handle the Chiefs linespeed.

I do believe the Chiefs were pretty comfortable at the end though, without finding that final knockout blow. I'd say them going for 3 was more because they couldn't see themselves getting a BP win, so they thought they may as well seal victory. The Force sadly, couldn't get over the halfway line in the last 15.
