Dearns vs Beehre
Roigard vs Christie
Lakai vs Wrampling
Flanders vs Clark
Fehi vs Vai
Prime Love vs over the hill Beauden

Think he's onto something. I'm sure I saw one or two players with their normal hair too, so obviously fractures in camp and zero commitment across the team.

Who said that Harkin lacked top speed ? The way he left Vai for dead for his first try shows he has some wheels. He's been great this season.

Oh was it for charity or something?

Apologies if so.

Support for Cameron Suofoa, ex-Blue and 27 year old terminal cancer sufferer. That's why the entire squad did it

Fineanganofo is an absolute barnstormer right now. I don't remember him last season. I can't believe he's walking out the front door!

Could be the 2027 NMS. Someone needs to kidnap him and hold him in a basement for next year

Yeah except he's a year early right... although a fair bit younger too

Hmm yes Iโ€™m sure there will be something new and shiny next year. Let him go

Why else do you think Solomon and XTH are being held back? JJ's no slouch.

Iโ€™ll admit it, the right eye starting twitching after reading that last part

I think Jet was talking about on here with too much focus on hair dyeing, he's not wrong.

I was not aware of that. Apologies for my faux pas.

Apologies are all good, however I would make the point that the Canes match day squad are actually just better than what the Blues rolled out yesterday.

Better form, more All Blacks, and more experience.

The actual result I think is a fair representation of where the squads are at.

So far I'm happy with what this Blues squad have delivered this year and they've somewhat out performed my expectations after losing some key players to injuries and players who have moved on overseas.

The Blues form has been very strong but the Canes have been on fire.

The terminal cancer news would have certainly impacted some of the players emotionally but realistically the Canes at the moment are a better team.

The tournament at the moment is the Canes to lose.

It's in support of Cam Suafoa (former Blues player) who's cancer is now terminal, you do know that right Dan?

mikedogz

The colour of hair doesn't affect their performance or preparation. They usually have a day off each week to do personal stuff. It looks like one of the reserves did a home job with his orange tint.

For what? I have read the thread, I thought Jet was saying everyone on the thread was focussing too much on hair dyeing, but perhaps he wasn't.
What's to apologise about?

All those posters who didn't believe me months ago when I opined that Love looks like a natural 10. You can have your old used one back.

He said that because he didn't realise WHY they dyed their hair. Once he realised he changed his tune, because he's not tone deaf. Sometimes things are done for reasons that are more important that a game played with a ball

Of course they are and everyone (well I do) am pleased to see the support for friend and team mate. I was asking what I was meant to apologise for. Seems some confusion going on here .lol

@cgrant geez they must have been watching someone else eh

Jailbreak7

To me, the Canes and Blues are perfect representations of the ABs - where they are now (Blues) and where they actually should be (Canes)
Blues are perfect illustrations of hanging onto players past their best BB, Christie, Tu'ungafasi....
Canes are building a young squad, but they want to play for each other, and they are excited to play for each other., its infectious..anf the PACK! They are carrying hard, defending hard, and play as one..
The whole team execute, create, attrack and defend seamlessly. It's a joy to watch.
Blues do have bright spots. Segner, AJ Lam, CC, Vai are among their best. They will be better with the return of Paps.
Canes/Chiefs next week will be interesting

I was thoroughly impressed by Segner and Malachi-Wrampling on Saturday, they both had massive shifts and are two loosies the Blues must lock down long term with Papali'i and Sotutu moving on at seasons end.

A trio of 6. Barnes 7. Segner and 8. Malachi-Wrampling is definitely a trio the Blues should stick with.

I think that's the best game I've seen Segner play now that I think about it. For me he was probably the best loosie on the park, in a losing side and up against several AB contenders.

Yeah, he was the best loosie on the park on Saturday, impressive considering Flanders and Lakai were very good. If he can consistently bring that physicality, he'll be an AB contender for sure.

So the ABs should poach, steal (Roigard) and import (Dearns)?

Serious question.
