@BerhamporeNinja 1 too many reserves might have to choose between Iose and Shields? Prob go with Shields extra experience in a game like this
@BerhamporeNinja said in QF: Hurricanes v Blues:
@Canes4life yup gna be a goodie! Excited!
They'd go w the same team bar Flanders and Fehi back in their respective positionsBench. Lauaki back fit so I reckon he'd be backing up with Lomax and Tuputupu in the front Row
Shields,,IWL, Ioese, Enari, Sullivan, Naholo
My predicted team no one asked for
I agree but as @rugbyman has mentioned you’ve got one too many.
Iose was very very good coming off the bench on Friday but Shields brings all that finals experience which would be valuable.
Hard decision to make.
Blues instagram post from a couple off days ago showed Zarn Sullivan in a moon boot. Perofeta to fullback if BB is fit? Forbes or Spencer the other options

Chuck Spencer in. We got nothing to lose. Forbes is the safe option which isn't even that safe at times.

Forbes was really effective at fullback in 24. He's only been playing on the wing.
Spencer is not a very good defender and we have major defensive issues already.

Canes reporting 15k tickets already sold so tracking towards a good crowd
Yep, already sold the same amount of tickets as last week and tickets have only been on sale for 24 hours.
@African-Monkey agree i would pick Spencer as he looks like he has some x factor and they will need that against the Canes. Don't think Forbes is the man for this game.
@Canes4life You know I genuinely think if the Canes are hot favourites , a number (who travel ) will decide that the Final will be one they will wait for too?
@george33 said in SF: Hurricanes v Blues:
Looking like Beauden will play.
Looking at social media images Spencer will too. Perofeta on the bench
@Landers92 said in SF: Hurricanes v Blues:
Devan Flanders is still battling with concussion. Will be out this week
Oh man, that really sucks. Wonder if that will rule him out of the final then. Kind of a risk playing him in a final if he hasn't played for 4 weeks by then.
@george33 said in SF: Hurricanes v Blues:
Dalton see how he comes through today.
Did target semis.
We are half an hour until the team namings. Let's just wait until then aye.
@KiwiMurph said in SF: Hurricanes v Blues:
@Canes4life team namings can be misleading - a player can be named and then a late change
Dalton will be named if they are hopeful he can get through the week. We've seen a late scratching in almost every game this year, just part of the game these days.

Will be the case for both teams. Breaking some big news here…
Ruben Love tweaked his calf at training yesterday. Will be undergoing tests/scans to find out the severity. Nervous wait

Oh ffs. You have to be kidding me. Can’t we just get through the week without any bloody niggles.
Ruben just loves a leg injury.

I didnt realise Lauaki played Loosehead as well? Thought he had been used pretty much exclusively at TH
He’s played loose head almost all season mate.
Joshua Fusitu’a (hamstring)
This is dragging out. He was named in the last regular season game and they pulled him out as a precaution
No Flanders, might not see him again in a Canes jersey. Hopefully back for the final if we make it through. Shields might be cooked by then.

Meanwhile Laidlaw had him out there for 80 minutes on Friday......

Our props sure love a spell on the sidelines, Ofa last year, now Fusitua to go with Ben Ake and Jordan Lay. Mason Tupaea has become a seasoned veteran as a reuslt of all these injuries.

Happened at training yesterday
Interesting to note that Harry Godfrey is off the injured list. Maybe he'll be called upon if Ruben is ruled out.
Crazy to also think that Lakai is playing his 50th game at the raw age of 23.

Which could possibly have been avoided if he had been dragged early to rest his legs...
