A pretty dire game IMO. England learned very little of any use. Fiji were awful and the game was ruined but a pathetic red card.

The setup of this world nations thing is a real issue. It horribly disadvantages some teams, not getting to play at home.

really surprised at how much of a rabble fiji have quickly turned into
not sure they have much of a coaching set up at that ATM after byrne left
the FijiW coach has come in as interim
possibly a relief for him (Seruvakula) as the W have probably even bigger issues

got enough talent to turn it around just as quick tho

the saving grace is . . .
the FRU will be raking in a lot more cash than they would if the games were in Lautoka

It's actually very much a long term plus for Fiji. The revenue that playing away will generate for them is far more than they would have got for playing at home. They have the land earmarked for a new stadium and this revenue should allow them to build it. Hopefully they can then host meaningful games at home on a regular basis.

The Japan thing though was awful. Making them fly to Australia to play a "home" game against Ireland so that Ireland didn't have to fly over to Japan makes a mockery of home advantage - there's no financial reason for it at all, so why?
