Whoever wins that battle will go along way to deciding the final result IMO. Openside and First Five will be key areas in this game and if Barrett fires I think that will tip us over the line.

Go Savea!! :D

Saveas?!

Reckon the Canes will pip them. Say mid 30's to low 20's - expecting to see some good running rugby and some cheehoo hits too!!

Up against good opposition we have folded every time, Canes by 7 or under even with our home advantage :(

I'm a little more optimistic going into this weekends game than previous derbies.

As I mentioned in last week's game thread, it's only taken the whole comp for Toddy to play what I think is our best midfield. Richie is starting to kick goals more consistently and we don't have Macalai on the wing.

It's going to be a tough game as I like what the Canes forwards have been doing this season. I think we need to target the Canes midfield and back 3 and keep the ball the hell away from Barrett

Ok, trying to keep an eye on Ardie to see the hype. In that bit of play with the Crusaders pressing very hard on the Canes line, he did a very good job of having to do fuck all....managed to stand at pillar a lot though.

You still not sold on ardie?

Canes work their way through the middle of the maul, Crusader with ball goes to ground but the canes are penalised for collapsing? Can the attacking team not be done for collapsing?

Good contest this one. That Sanders pack could prove the difference in the end.

Kicking like that won't help them.
Crusaders forwards won't be too happy with Drummond - win the scrum then are under their own posts a minute later.

That held up at the end was a shocking call, there were three different penalties there from what I could see and the ref went with the worst option.
