I would honestly go with Devery over Tuputupu. Too hard to win tight contests when you can't win your own lineout ball.

Just throw short godammit

Re the coaches and selection it's not as bad as playing Blackwell every minute of every game like in recent years but Canes coaching missed a trick by ditching Bason earlier in the season.

And I guess they were right to show faith in Enari/who knows what happened with Higgins.

The guy that pulled 3 turnovers tonight? And is top 5 for the competition?

I didn't realise he had that many tonight. I've always seen him as good but not great in that aspect.

if he gets more turnovers than anyone notices that's a pretty good thing for an openside!

@BerniesCorner If he were a bit better over the ball he'd be a world class 7.

I see his workrate and utility as a plus and his height and best position as an issue.
Is he best at 8 or 7 in an ABs pack? Could come off the bench but then that doesn't use his workrate.
Imagine him at 7 with Ta'eiloa at 8 and Barnes at 6...and then we have two short loosies again.. seems to have power at the back of the scrum thanks to that low centre and tugboat powered legs..

He reminds me of a young Ardie.

I see his best role as 7 but he can easily cover 8. For the ABs i'd absolutely have him over Kirifi at 7.

BerniesCorner

I'd start Lakai at 7 for ABs

The Ghanaian cardio genetics in Lakai, insane

Jet

Roigard is such a little schemer.

You cant forget him and drift onto the next man. He will find the weak shoulder.

He buys his ten an extra yard due to the hesitation he creates for the defence.

The most important Allblack right now for me.

Haven't read the thread, but my 2c...

Obviously one-sided. Best team won.

But Blues were much more engaged than the Crusaders were last night.

Hurricanes had to battle in the first half.

But crickey, top two teams are measurably better than the rest this year.

@Crazy-Horse so not gamesmanship?

A wise man used to say if you arent cheating you aren't trying hard enough

Big difference between stretching the rules and acting like a Soccer player.

I actually didn't see his fake, just saw him take off. He won't get away with that too often in future I'd imagine

I'm inclined to think he wasn't exactly faking, but pushed through the pain for his team. He didn't look comfortable when he took the tap.

I didn't see it either and hope it didn't happen. But if it did, he needs a kick up the arse.

That sort of stupidity can cost you games

Not if BB is selected as starting ten.

Disagree. The most important AB is the one BB feels most comfortable playing behind.

Finlay Christie

You've been trolling this whole time! What a fluffybunny

Ha ha! In an ideal world Christie wouldn't be in the squad, let alone the 23, and BB would be on the bench at best.

But to be fair to Christie, he gives 110% and really stepped up last year when all other options were injured.

George Bridge gave 130%.
