DEAR ITV COMMENTATORS

I'm pretty damn happy with the ITV coverage,

It's OK when Miles Harrison is about 100km away from the microphone.

Coverage was better in 2015 IMHO. Perhaps it will improve past the pool stage.

Except when he makes up new Laws or forgets existing ones.

Perhaps it's part of his career plan - become a rugby hack for a UK newspaper.

@Victor-Meldrew It's actually not OK when Miles Harrison is any where near a microphone.
He's a total plonker and a muppet who offers nothing except an extremwly irritating voice.
I'd be happier if they left the comms with ex-players.

@Jailbreak7

Commentary hell would be Miles Harrison and Jonathan Davies. The Waldorf & Statler of TV Rugby but without the wit.

Davies sole contribution to technical analysis is to repeat the phrases "Space out wide!" and "You just can't do that!".

Jailbreak7

I remember the days when Harrison used to say stupid phrases i.e when a player made a great run on the way to the tryline "Oh and look (insert name of choice) is going......." They got rid of him on Sky didn't they.

I've got to say in the realm of stupid phrases, that one doesn't exactly register...what am I missing?

Victor Meldrew

@Jailbreak7

I've heard him say "And England are 3 points down with 20 minutes to play. They will know they can win this"

Yes, really.

@Bones I think you hope for some insightful comments from the comms team, and not just saying what Joe Blogs sees from his telly or down the pub.
