I will update the scores this weekend - treating the Jags v Landers game as a draw - but have had a sudden loss of enthusiasm!
As long as the scores are projected to take into account my planned late season surge up the board, I am happy to call it off

Right here we go - as we have no idea when the next week of tipping will be, I am going to stretch the announcement of Week 7 results over a whole week, a game per night.
So I have updated the Leaderboard and the Fixtures (and Cup) tabs on https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/ with the very low points scored given only 3 picked the Canes to win. Tomorrow we update after the Blues v Lions game for which Laurence, after being 1 of 3 to pick the Canes, was the only one to take the Lions.
@taniwharugby We could play future rounds by getting all of us to pick a scoreline for the rounds and then average out into a margin of victory. Maybe.

@voodoo Yeah definitely. Sport related ideas only please.
@voodoo Not a single like!
@taniwharugby I did an emoji and apologised on the original post, I thought you could say anything after that!!! Kind of like leading with "no offence, but...

fixed
Updated after the 3rd game - sorry for being late.
A big win for the Crusaders - 41/47 had the margin, if you didn't you're an idiot and no wonder you're doing so badly.
Game 4 is in now - Reds 41 Bulls 17. Only Hooroo picked the margin and moves into the top 10. 5 went for the Bulls, Laurence, Stockcar86, Bones, Mikey07 & Richie.
Game 5 has been updated - Joan and Mary has lost the lead to Higgins and is losing the cup final to Triple T. Not picking the Blues to win, a sound option in recent seasons, has proved her undoing.
The final results are posted up now.
If the season doesn't start again, Higgins will be the champion, Barbarians will win the league and Triple T the cup. If Super Rugby does complete the season then we will decide what we do at that point.
Stay safe people
@taniwharugby there's no comp long enough dart boy!!!
[ignores fact we both finished in bottom 10]
VICTORY!!!

So shall we resurrect the tipping comp for 13 June? What's the view on whether we carry on with the current comp or start a brand new one?
I've put up an online form so you can vote on it.
Not a massive number of votes but it is clear - the 2020 competition is ended with Higgins the champion, Barbarians the team champs and Triple T the cup winner.
A new competition will begin when the matches begin and we will just make it a battle of individuals in case we don't get enough returnees to form the teams. With just 2 games per weekend, look out for a new scoring system to test your skills.

Cool. Like getting bonus points for getting both results wrong?

We're live again! Still the same link https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/
A new tipping form and spreadsheet have been created so enter your tips now at
Changes are as follows
-
No team competition, you're all just playing for yourself for these 10 weeks.
-
80 points per weekend - double points for picking winner and margin as before so 40 points for the 2 games. 8 more categories of 5 points each.
-
For a team score, you score 5 for being correct or within 1, 4 for being 2/3 out, 3 for being 4/5 out etc etc. So if you're 10 or more away you get zero.
-
For team tries, you score 5 for being correct and 2 for being within 1.
The first game is on Saturday at 5pm so you have until then to submit.

Is @Crucial restarting the Superbru competition?
I haven’t looked at it. Will check now.
Ok, I have re-activated the pool on Superbru and sent out invites. Apparently you can also search for it with a code (beansees)

Great I'm in.

@KiwiPie wow those new options make this game that much easier!
I'm liking that the points picks often don't bear a relation to the tries picks - 28 points and 5 tries??

Sounds though Beuden has had a bad kicking day.

Missed 5 conversions from right in front and nailed a penalty from out wide?
