So I reckon that's twice I have failed to realise who the home team are and as a result have tipped the opposite to what I intended
I am so fucking thick

are you looking for an argument on that point?
No one is keen to take it up by the looks of things.

You are indeed - you picked the score as Crusaders 27 Blues 16 - almost spot on. But picked the Blues 9-16. Turned a weekend's best of 62 into a moderate 42. Nice work.

haha, that is gold!

@Crucial Hey if @Virgil can get all menopausal about some little bitty building blocks...
I tend to get menopausal about lots of things.
Still working on the update for this weekend - lots of poor scores unsurprisingly. Who is claiming an entry under the name Nathan Hill? The only person not tipping who tipped last week is @Cactus-Jack so is it you?
Results are live now at https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/
I gave Cactus Jack the points for Nathan Hill on the basis that he usually tips early in the week and was the only regular missing. He and Corkscrew were the only ones to pick 2/2, Corkscrew with 54 the highest of the weekend. Many were caught out by the results and the high scoring games after they were low scoring last weekend.
TR scored well to retain the lead by 14 over Winger with Sportboy up to 3rd.
Results are up to date at https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/
Paj topped all scorers this week with 57, both results and margins picked. He went for Crusaders 33-34 Hurricanes which was very accurate - not so accurate for going for 6 tries apiece! He's up to 13th but still 52 behind TR who through consistent accumulation finds himself with a lead of 22 over Winger. DK also into the top 10 with the 2nd highest score of 51.
TR into the final of the TSF Cup with Sportboy. Played out over the next 2 weekends.
Goodness in the space of a couple of weeks I have gone from being just seven or so points behind TR in second place to sixth place and forty four points from him. Still having a policy of not picking the Hurricanes whenever they have JGB in their starting lineup as there is absolutely no way the can possibly win has not been all that successful!
All live at https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/ - all change as there were no tips from @taniwharugby
@taniwharugby A game of two halves maybe as the wind was blowing very strongly in the first half, obviously behind sportboy!
@taniwharugby and what a victory it will be when you take down Sportboy - let's face it, if anyone can blow a 45 point lead, he can
Go to https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/ to see how you got on this weekend. Best scoring of the competition so far with both results fairly predictable. Triple T with a massive 74, 5 out of 8 category picks correct. Kruse with 70 to keep the pressure on Winger, but he scored 69 to keep a 10 point lead going into the final weekend.
Joan and Mary on 69 to move up to 3rd but there are only 12 points between 3rd and 10th. Hooroo managed just 7 points, continuing to believe in the Chiefs and suffering accordingly.
TR beat Sportboy in the 2nd leg of the cup final but still lost by 38 points.

Sorry for the delay but I closed off the competition by adding any points scored for the Highlanders v Hurricanes game - to be honest there weren't many and there were a fair few zeroes for people who actually tipped.
Virgil, Joan and Mary and Richie were the only 3 to pick a Highlanders win and Virgil top scored with 25, moving him into 3rd overall with Joan and Mary moving up to 2nd. Winger took the title despite scoring just 2 points.
At the moment, I still plan to run NPC Tipping ... we'll see what happens.

@dogmeat at least @Virgil didnt hack in and delete your tips so he could get 3rd!
Thanks @KiwiPie
I ain’t that smart or learned, to me computers are that device that used to be mine but now is taken up 99% of the time by my 8 year old watching random YouTube videos and playing games.

My lowest ever score I think. I'm surprised I keep my lead (a lead due to TR not tipping one week).
And thanks for running again KiwiPie

I'm in if its run again.
I'm in. Will be seeing a couple of the Wai-Bush team up at Hataitai Park for the Wellington v Poneke match so will put them on notice to be ready to go for the opening round when they invariably hit me up for the losers shout during the aftermatch function!

NPC Tipping is happening - look for a form to submit your tips very soon.
Thanks for running this again
Everything is at the usual place (tables will be updated with correct data later)
Direct link to the tipping form is here
Last call to enter the tipping competition, the first game is tonight. 29 entrants so far not including myself and a few regulars are yet to join - if we can get to 40+ that will be perfect for an 8 team competition.
