It's so hard to read QBs in the NFL. Goff and Jimmy G both played in the Superbowl in the last two years, and at times looked the winner. Nick Foles actually won. And yet all three look pretty horrible this year, while rookies like Herbert and Burrow seem much more assured with far worse teams.

look at the changes to New England and Tampa...

Both were system QBs beaten by superior QBs. Jimmy is not required to do much in that offence, however when he is called upon to throw far down the field he is often found wanting. Imagine what a QB like Rogers could do with that O line. Get a top prospect if available and grab someone in like Fitzpatrick to run the cutter while the new kid is eased in
SNF is a big game, Saints v Tampa
Tampa have had 3 possessions, 9 plays, 18 total yards. NO have more than 140 and a TD already.

@mariner4life what a blowout.
jesus!! i stopped looking at the box score after the 2nd TD, 31 points in the first half?

On throws 15+ yards downfield today Tom Brady was 1 of 9 for 18 yards with 2 interceptions.
that explains the very weird box score of 26 completions for only 216 yards.
Tough season to predict from here, so many close divisions
Things we know:
The NFC East is dogshit.
The Steelers will win their Division
Things that are very likely
The Chiefs will win theirs
The Patriots won't make the post season.
I feel like pretty much everything else is up for grabs

that said, he rescued 3rd and long many times today.
Good fun game, I enjoyed it

Tom Brady is a bitch!
only against young QB.
OK, he's a bitch
also, the two interceptions he threw yesterday were abysmal. No receiver anywhere near, and went straight to the Rams defenders.
Denver play the Saints with Lindsay out with a bad knee, and a bunch of guys tipped out for COVID, including the QB and the backup QB
And predictably get hosed
You reckon Tampa are happy with their QB trade?
oh shit, i didn't realise the guy who played QB for Denver today was an undrafted rookie wide receiver!
At least in the NFL you get well compensated.
The Broncos emergency QB got over $50K NZD for today's game.
If you want to watch what blatant, "we're not even going to try and hide it" match fixing looks like
Go watch the Jets tank against the Raiders.
I feel sorry for these great college QBs that have to keep going to dumpster fire organisations.
Huge win for Washington.
It feels like finally they might be turning things around - it feels like they have some stability finally with Rivera at the helm as head coach and a new team president.
First team to beat the Steelers.
What a story Alex Smith is - from potentially losing his leg or even his life to leading Washington to 3 straight wins - he's a shoe in for Comeback Player Of The Year.
Washington's defence is really impressive - a lot of high draft picks in the defensive line and well coached by veteran coach Del Rio.

Had this on in the background doing some work, expecting it to be a stinker of a game.
The Washingtonf Football Team did really well -as you say, great D. Receivers dropped some sitters too - made Alex look worse than he was.
Carson Wentz had the same issue - if you put the ball there and it gets dropped, it's not all on the QB.
Buffalo are a hard team to place. They look like solid contenders one week, and then pretenders the next. Currently giving the Niners a touch up
Also what has happened to the Seahawks?
That was scary good from Buffalo, but M4L is right - can they do that consistently?
The O-line could be the best in the league. Allen just has so much time, and has the talent to turn that into gold when he's on his game.

box score is nuts
Jackson runs for nearly as many yards as he passes, and twice as many touchdowns.
@mariner4life Jackson was out with a leg injury in the second half - came back in on a must convert 4th down.
just finished watching this no knowing the result. What a game. Quality QB play - one with legs, one with arm.
Great fun, really enjoyed it
remember 3 weeks ago when the Steelers were going 16-0?
They are losing to the Bengals in what looks a shit game. The Driver summary is 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out.

I'm watchign - it's entertaiing. Bengals just so committed physically, it's a grudge match. NFL does this better than most, just remarkable
@mariner4life Bengals up by 10 and win the game with a few seconds left.
11-2 just lost to 2-10-1 team. Wow.

Farcical scenes in the NFC today.
Bears get smashed but make the playoffs cos Cardinals also lost.
Meanwhile Eagles pull the most blatant tank job on prime time - benching their QB in the 4th Quarter only down 3 points to put in their backup who is legitimately awful meaning Washington win the division and make the playoffs and the Giants miss out.
As a Cowboys fan I have no sympathy for the NYG, especially after they beat us today.
The NFC East really sucks now.
And now 7-9 Washington hosts the 11-5 Tampa Bay...

My Eagles doing their bit for the good of the game
NFC east being so terrible means that the bucs are probably pretty happy to have got through on a wildcard. Seattle on the other hand gets to host the Rams. Playing at home is great (and the Rams are a bit all over the show) but Washington are clearly the worst team in the playoffs.

And only one of the Bucs' 11 wins has come against a team with a +0.500 record (Packers back in week 6).
