Let the manager dramas begin. Carlo Ancelloti is gone from Everton for Real Madrid. Seems like poor form from him given how much he talked up long term planning for Everton.

Most people are nothing if not opportunistic

Hard to turn down Real when Everton are always so .... mediocre. The promising signs at the start of the season just withered away and they finished below Leeds
Ancelotti wasn't their first choice but he has been at RM before and had success there despite all of the politics. You have to be impressed with his CV.
Gee it's a merry go round for Italian managers at present. Ancelotti, Conte, Pirlo, Inzaghi and Allegri either taking up jobs or being movedon just to name a few.

Good opportunity for Nuno Santo in my view. The talk seems to think it's between him & Moyes. I can't see why Moyes would leave West Ham though, he's arguably the EPL 20/21 manager of the year with the results there. Nuno also seems to be talking to Palace, but that would be a step sideways or backwards from Wolves. Everton may not be one of the top tier clubs, but that may well change with their new stadium.
The reality is as a manager that you simply don't want to be the last person standing when the game of musical chairs finishes.

Comte reportedly in advanced talks with Tottenham.
This sounds like the Mourinho appointment - a proven winner etc etc. Conte is good for a season it appears and by then he's pissed everyone off and pisses off. If Inter didn't give you enough to spend, welcome to Levy and Tottenham.

I'm not sure he is the guy we should be getting. The way Levy operates, we need a guy who is comfy developing young players and surviving on a budget

He sounds similar to Jose in his pomp. He was more subdued this time, probably due to his failures at Chelsea and ManU

Conte is also very demanding on the players.
Good. Our players need a kick up the arse. Son and Kane had statistically amazing seasons, if the others had pulled their collective finger out we could have made top 4
Euros 2020 (2021). I'm running a picking competition and Ferners who should be getting an email out it soon are

And the English domestic season rumbles on. The playoffs for the National League started today and Notts County magnificently triumphed over Chesterfield 3-2 and will play Torquay next weekend for a place in the playoff final. Early game to avoid clashing with the Euros!

@Kiwiwomble Not sure if you have read this:
Amazing story and good on him. I did not realise that MK Dons were the renamed relocated Wimbledon FC. Vinny Jones would approve!!!

I know Erling Halland has been touted about for most big clubs, but shit if he went to the most likley team (Chelsea) imagine how good their team would be... Halland, Haverts, Pullisic, Mount, Kante, Werner, Chillwell, Azpillcueta, Thiago Silva, Rudiger, etc etc
Ziyech as well....

Unbelievable Jeff!
At the very, very bottom of the EFL, after 96 years in and four years away, the team that once beat Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United 6 - 0 has returned to League 2.
And somewhere, Jeff Stelling is having a brilliant night after a nail biting game

It sounded like a real thriller but I had lost interest when we went out to Torquay in the semis when I'm sure all their goals were either offside or handled. A few scandals in the league this season where certain clubs furloughed some of their players and then bought new ones to replace them! Clubs mentioned were Chesterfield, Stockport and Barrow so at least it seems like Hartlepool were clean.
Which of course reminds me of the day that Hartley and Poole scored for Hartlepool
