Torrey Craig to the Bucks. And what is cool is, Bucks fans are genuinely stoked.
Also Spurs have dumped Bryn Forbes on the Bucks. Excellent.
Who the fck is Bryn Forbes???
I guess that's kinda the point

Starting PG for the Spurs. Can shoot. Can't defend. Got waaaaay too many minutes.
Will probably do a good job for the Bucks because they are better positioned to use his strengths and hide his weaknesses. Also he will probably bench for them.
Pop loved him, apparently because he works real hard all the time. This might be one of those trades where both teams are better for it?
@mariner4life I had to look him up (shows how much regular season I watch these days). Looks rubbish, he basically regressed in every single category this season (except FGA!), which is pretty poor for a 4th season guy in his 2nd season as a starter. In that set up.
Lakers have traded JaVale McGee away and will sign Marc Gasol on a 2 year deal in his place. Peak Gasol was great, I guess he'll be an able bench player now. Dwight has parlayed his redemption season into a contract with Philly
As a part of the trade sending Steven Adams to New Orleans, the Pelicans and Adams agreed to a two-year contract extension, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe on Monday evening.
The extension, which is fully guaranteed according to sources, is for two years and $35 million. Adams is in the final year of a four-year, $100 million deal he signed with Oklahoma City prior to the 2016-17 season. He is set to make $27.58 million in 2020-21.
Pelican uniforms will become popular in NZ.

And then the articles about how Adams won’t play for the TBs will follow...

@canefan It's strange that US pro teams retain their names even though it has little relevance to their new city. The Lakers make sense in Minnesota, not so much in California.
Memphis too. At least OKC changed theirs
Bam gets his bread. Big 5 year $195M deal from the Heat. And Brandon Ingram gets a 5 year $158M max deal to stay in NO. Looks like his move out of LA worked out just fine. Giannis has yet to sign
Bogdanovic off to the Hawks. The bucks missing out on that as a piece to try and keep the Greek Freak could end up hurting them if they cant find another good piece to go around him.

And the Hawks landed Gallinari, Rondo and Dunn too. Some nice pieces to go along with Bogi and Young.

Houston has agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to Washington for John Wall and a first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.
Hardly a step in the right direction for Russ.
Lakers about to lock in AD for the next 4 years at least. If LBJ can stay healthy (and AD himself of course) they have the chance to repeat this year, and have their two cornerstones in place for the next couple of years at least

if only San Antonio could have orchestrated a trade to the Celtics. And then got the Sixers to come too. And the Heat a year later.

Me or him?
Amazing the shit that Russell endured off the court. Imagine winning 11 fucking titles for your city, being the best team mate ever , a total stand-up guy, and still copping racial abuse on the streets?

you
also, how are you amazed about racism in America? Consider what it's like now and then extrapolate that to Russell's time

Not amazed atvthe racism as such, more find it hard to fathom how you could give your all like that and care so much, despite that sort of treatment. Apparently to this day he has no love for the city
@mariner4life well you're too fucking depressing for a Friday night! Let's get back to talking about Lebrons greatness.

Let’s not!
On the Wall and Westbrook trade, this is the modern day NBA when two teams have to trade an all-star for another all-star, both on ridiculous contracts, to keep another all-star at their respective teams. Doesn’t make a lot of sense!

I reckon Wall’s contract was worst than Russ’ so does that mean Washington did better for unloading it (somewhat)....

Wow Ball Jnr with some amazing assists. I can't wait to see his stat lines throughout the season gonna be some mind blowing stats both good and bad. I think today was 0pts 4 assists 4 turnovers 10boards in 16 min (of a preseason which I know means nothing)
Giannis will stay in Milwaukee

Doesn't mean he is actually staying long term though, just means now they can actually look for trade destinations for him.

Nah, they have him for 4 years, this ain't football. Or if he later on agitated for a trade they will at least be in a position to get something back, until his year 4 player option

My point is that having him contracted makes him more valuable as a trade asset, as any team taking him knows that they get him for 4 years, not just the remaining 1 year on his old deal. He's no longer a flight risk, and that means you are willing to pay more to get him.
Does he want to be traded? I honestly don't think so, he seems like he wants to stay from all his public noise. Be interesting to see what the Bucks do though if they fall flay in the playoffs again
