Two good goals to be fair
A Welsh footballer is now blaming the competition organisers because they got spanked 4-0 yesterday.
Welsh football team are hard to warm to. As @billy-tell says, I prefer their Rugby team.

One player's opinion. He's hurting. He'll reflect down the line and know we did really well to get to the competition in the first place; then the round of 16; and were beaten by a better side.
And the travel was a joke
A gritty win by Belgium, but it may have come at a huge cost if E Hazard and De Bruyne are out of the match against Italy.
The winner of England vs Germany will be at good
odds to make the final now with the Choking Clogwearers out. France, Belgium, Spain and Italy all on the other side of the draw.

The first Croat goal is the stuff of a minties moment.
Game of the tournament
Lucky I have the ABs as my other team. Switzerland just can never be clinical! Gimme penalty that they fluff then France come back.

I est my words. That was a gutsy comeback. The 3rd goal was pure class.
Nothing is guaranteed in sport. I bet Rodríguez is very relieved.
Coman nearly won it with the last kick of normal time. I had a feeling Mbappé would miss that penalty. Not a tournament he will look back on fondly.
When they stop diving and trying to get opponents sent off, football can be thrilling as fuck
Two tremendous matches

The VAR has got rid of that. Even the missed penalty by Mbappé was checked to see if goalie was off his line.

Yes, it has been noticeable that the refs aren't blowing the whistle as much and the players have soon realised that falling on the ground from minimal or no contact will not result in a free kick. Long may it continue.
Highlight was Pogba's 4 different rehearsed celebrations for his 1 goal.
Too much celebration, not enough goal.

He was pretty decent overall I thought, some beautiful passes. Ok, he got stripped for the swiss equaliser, but I've seen worse.
Switzerland were pretty decent vs Wales but couldn't score, dire against Italy, very good against Turkey and excellent vs France.
I've watched Spain: they have oodles of talent in a young team, but their strikers have been wasteful at times and I reckon the Swiss team has more height. If the Swiss treat the French game like their "final" then they will lose against Spain, but if they can re-focus, I reckon a semi-final is possible.
I'm still picking Italy to win the tournament.
Watched the highlights again just now - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/57647011 for those that can access.
What a match, possibly the best I've ever seen. France on the ball were phenomenal, working into space at speed with incredible ball control. Pogba's strike, the last minute miss, Benzeman's touch for his first goal - all great bits of footy.
Swiss finding holes in the French defence like .... <insert swiss cheese joke here>
All well controlled by the ref too, who didn't have a bar of any bullshit.
