Rugby League World Cup

Someone chucked a fridge at that poor Frenchman

And you could see on his face as he got back up he was questioning his life choices

God awful.

Genuine, are we hungover?

booboo

I just googled. 6-18. 48 gone.

Great tackle if that's not a try.

Absolute brilliance by wakeham

And then complete stupidity from kamikamica

sparky

Fiji looking the better side. What a shower the Kiwi League team are!

kiwiinmelb

If we manage to pinch this win , Aussies will tear us to shreds anyway the way things are looking

Nz haven't been great, but fiji have been brilliant.

Imo they would challenge australia

sparky

What's wrong with this Ronaldo bloke?

Great try. Nz have it now?... Fiji look shot now

sparky

Fiji knock on. Great chance this.

That strip call was wrong

sparky

Another successful challenge.

Nooooo fiji

What have you done

sparky

Fiji's turn to fuck up.

sparky

Great try at the end. Superb finish by Rapana. NZ win.

sparky

All over 24 to 18 to NZ. Let out of jail there.

MajorStokes

Fiji lost that. Bad mistakes at the end.

Pretty disgusted with the NZ league team. Completely devoid of a kicking game, a kick chase and a spark. Just god awful horrible.

Oz next week by 50.

African Monkey

Meh, not too fussed, a win's a win and good to have a decent hitout before the Kangaroos.

We'll be much better next week.

Nz would be better with a better coach. Someone other than madge

ARHS

Wow great match. Terrific by nz back 3 of Manu Rapana and Mulitalo. Edge of the seat stuff at last in this World Cup

It was a tough game and sure we didn’t do ourselves any favours at times, but am still pretty happy about getting the win from how we started.

Knockout WC finals do bring the drama.

Bring on the Aussies.

Nepia

Hopefully that was the game to focus the Kiwis after having three training runs previously. Also, hope it lulls the Aussies into a false sense of security.

yep without those three we struggled for any attacking impetus. A couple of good touches from Dylan Brown (cut out pases) putting both Ronaldo and Jordan in space, but not a great day out.

Take the win and move on I guess, but Fiji will be gutted they let us through, they played well

Not that anyone cares but this is my personal ratings:

Personally don't like our forward pack balance . Would bring NAS back into the front row and not give him as many minutes. Likewise would replace Jesse with Spencer Liu and I guess JWH is back into the rotation is in the mix as well after his enforced sit down. Perhaps Nikora starts in the back row.

I think a better balanced pack is required against Australia.

Two fantastic matches

NZ v Fiji
Tonga v Samoa
