Dean Richards was such a dirty prick.

a dirty cheating prick. As well as kicking john Timu in the head on the touchline around '93, he got done for Bloodgate and completely banned from Rugby for 3 years.

Pretty much a forgotten tour. Only notable thing was Dave Solomon was the first Fijian to play for the All Blacks and losing twice in Wales and against England. Interestingly the kicker in the first game uses a round-the-corner style - thought that came in around the 70's.

This is the one specific North Auckland game that sticks in my memory the most.

It was my 10th birthday, we played our game that morning at Kensington Park, then Mum and Dad (with chilly bin full of BYO Lion Reds) took me and a handful of mates to Okara Park to watch, loaded up with hot chips and fizzy drink.

We recorded the game on the old VCR, watched it back later and much to my delight, I’d made it onto TV, in the background during the after match interviews.

Look how full Okara Park was too, those were the days šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

I was at this game. What isn't obvious on the video is the low fog that appeared at northern end of the ground near FT. We had almost no visibility driving back south around Pokeno/Meremere/Rangiriri.

I was at that game too, but have no memory of the fog whatsoever, I just remember Wilson scoring lots of tries.

This video came up on my feed the other day. I remember being at this game and hearing Jerry making contact with Chabal. You usually don't hear the hits from the stands but he got the giant yeti good that day. Wish we had someone like this in the ABs atm.

The funniest part of the commentary was Nisbo asking "who lined him up here?" Pretty obvious there Nisbo.

He brushed it off pretty well to be fair.

We do have someone like that in the team ( according to Chiefs fans anyway )

1.44 David Kirl to Kirwan, the same move as the rwc final the following year against france again. Almost identical, expect JK did score it in the final.

If he can start hitting forwards like he does first fives, then he's got a big future. Even Liam Messam gave him shit about it during the Chiefs season.
