Didnt realise how poor quality the footage was when we used to watch

Footage from ~1995-2005 looks shit. Same for cricket. Older archive footage actually looks better. I think some places started storing footage on VHS to save money?

A recent upload by Allblacks YouTube channel......

Cullens last game in NZ.

The look on his face when he gets the standing ovation.

The size of the crowd for an NPC game!

The good old days.

Was at this game with my old man. There to see my favourite player play his final game in Welly.

Still the GOAT in my eyes.

Sheesh to be a Wellington fan in the 2000s, I think we made 7 finals between 2000 - 2009 and only won 1.

The good thing about that 1 win was Rennie was the coach. More importantly during that season he course corrected when the players couldn't adapt to the pod system they were trying to play and brought their complaints to him.

Fast paced game - imagine them playing on todays surfaces or indoors

Saw this one the other day. I caught the second half live, paid $2 for the game from memory. Those were the days.

Isotolo Maka was an absolute beast. His brief AB career is such a source of frustration. Could well have been the most intimidating No 8 in history.

Andrew Blowers also looked like a man amongst boys out there.

Spencer was awesome.

Cullen good if not spectacular. He was playing centre though ( John Hart must have watched )

A very skinny looking James Kerr got the better of Joe Roff that day too ! a couple of sharp tries.

@Smudge
I was at that game and remember the penalty attempt well. North Auckland gave Wales a bit of touch up that day.
I was talking to "Bootie" at the aftermatch and he was more pissed off that the kick never went over.
