Ashes 2023

Tough choice for the Australian selectors. Slightly surprised it was Starc who missed out, he probably lengthens their batting. Maybe they've decided his more random bowling and economy rate will suffer most against Bazball, but Starc is also the most likely to bowl something unplayable out of the blue.

In one of the more ‘what the fuck’ moments of sporting realisation I note that Australia haven’t won an Ashes in England for over 20 years.

Aus have way too much class across the board and the wheels will fall off ‘Bazball’ ( stupid term )

Australia to win 3-0 or 4-0

Donsteppa

For those who will still be awake around 3am-ish.

Away team has won twice this century

Aus in 2001
Eng in 2010/11

Aus did draw and retain the Ashes in 2019 away

Track looks dry as the proverbial dead dingo's donga

Second delivery might have been worth aiming for a yorker length, just to see if Crawey would try that again.

How does Crawley get a test gig ?

Are England really that bereft of test openers ?

Donsteppa

And Hazlewood also bowls a first up pie to Crawley.

NTA

Duckett just stepping in front of his stumps and working it. Need to bring it across a little and challenge the 4th stump line

MN5

They’re certainly scoring quickly ( still refusing to say “Bazball” )

KiwiMurph

@MN5 yet you keep saying it

NTA

The Hoff. Duckett not comfortable outside off

KiwiMurph

Haha how's the no footwork approach

Donsteppa

Took an over, but once Hazlewood found his rhythm, that one was a sure thing.

NTA

Another edge and didn't carry. No footwork from Crawley

I know Head has been excellent but I’m surprised to see him this high.
