Mitchell's reserve wasn't much higher than Ravindra's. Ravindra had a few bids, but seemed to only be between a couple of teams. Mitchell just kept going and going. At 32 that's a great payday for Mitch, I guess Ravindra has plenty of time to prove his worth.

Cummins and Starc between them could probably buy a few sporting teams now.

Always interesting to see what the teams are thinking. Ravindra might have gone relatively cheap, yet Steve Smith got no bids at all.

Yeah, he may have gone cheap but it is all relative of course.

This is his biggest payday in his life so far.

So CSK have Flem as a coach and Conway, Mitchel and Ravindra. Who's their 4th overseas player? Think they are only allowed 4?

I dont have any IPL team allegiance but CSK will def be my team to follow for this IPL.

So is that what the player gets, or is it a transfer fee type thing?

Yep. Just had a look and they have Santner as well. Flem doing his bit for the woeful NZ economy.

They ditched Stokes and Jamieson from overseas ranks.

It looks like you can have up to 8 overseas players in your squad but there is a limit of 4 in your playing XI.
