@No-Quarter in addition, you need to be able to have reserves, so if someone is.injured last minute they slot into your lineup rather than you playing with 1 less, cos.thats how it happens in real life.

So I think that's it? They are not doing the finals? In the T&Cs it says the promotion period is: From 11:00 NZDT 7 February 2025 until 21:00 NZST on 31 May 2025. I can see it hasn't ticked over to the next round for selections.
Thanks to @Canes4life for setting up the league, it was pretty fun though it could use some pretty key improvements next year, like making the budget meaningful and introducing player prices fluctuating. I was around 20th in our league for most of the year, but made a late surge including having my triple booster on DMac for the Moana game which went pretty well, so ended up 7th and 3359th overall.
Congrats to RacingCarrot for taking it out.
Youβre right, it looks like thatβs it. Cheers to everyone for taking part, definitely hope they make a few changes next year.
Congrats to Racing Carrot for being the inaugural Fantasy Fernerβs League champion.
Dude that won said alot of his calls were made minutes prior to kick off...
Guess that would be slightly more successful than me picking on Wednesday when teams are announced...
@taniwharugby hope they have a Fantasy Rugby for the Bunnings NPC but we all know it will take NZ Rugby another 20 years to sign that off and by then the NPC be well and truly a distant memory
Thanks @Canes4life I enjoyed it even if it was a bit frustrating. Fairly happy with 14th place given how little thought I put into it

Does it say anywhere how many players there are in total? e.g. it has me at about 5000th overall, but out of how many? I can't seem to find that anywhere
I think there were around 34K when the season kicked off, so you're not doing badly.
They sent a season wrap today.
Over 70,000 played.
I was in the top 2k. 4th in the ferners league
They did a team of the comp too, but I can't find that. I remember being blindsided Hooper was blindside.

Not a bad shift, I managed to sneak into the top 3k, pretty happy with that.

Well done mate, I got caught out a few times playing it from London, meant i couldn't react to some late scratchings. Was hard ro really gauge form too relying on watching highlights most of the time.
Incidently, i got 4th in the planet rugby league as well.
They can improve it next year, i dont think i ever had to compromise my selection due to salary cap issues.
Pretty cool that the league was played from 187 countries!
Seems like it has been a big success on fan engagement for super rugby

Well played.
I hope they bring in injury replacements next year, so if a player goes down in the first 10 mins you can swap him out. I also hope they reduce the salary you can spend on your team to make it more challenging.
@Canes4life the old one they used to do (c 2000 - 2010, player values fluctuated, you had like 3 trades a round I think (which wasnt ideal, especially with so many byes in current format, so what they could do is allow unlimited trades on players in bye week or listed as injured, subject to your salary obviously)

For those of you that are interested, I have created a new league for this year's Super Rugby Fantasy competition. If you are interested you can join the Ferner's 2026 league here - https://playfantasyrugby.com/super/leagues/join/TG50ZK14
Let me know if anyone has any issues accessing?
Have they lowered the budget from last year?
They also seem to have much more nuanced "Value" as of now.
Am hoping for further improvements... like those rankings changing week-by-week.
BTW - the fact that 8% of people have selected Roigard on the 'Canes' bye week... should put everybody's ranking into perspective.
Interested to hear who some people think could be some solid pick ups.
I think Pasitoa will be a good acquisition as a midfield back if he is picked at 10 for the Landers and goal kicks.
The other guy I think could be worth a go if he starts is Israel Leota out of MP. Had big wraps at the Broncos and could be their go to winger.
@SouthernMann fuck, thats alot of thought right there...I tried to.pick.my team butnran out of money
There is also a bit of a fame to try and find the goal kickers who aren't playing first five. Adding some extra points.

Well my two hopes seem to be well off the radar.
Narawa, Bell, Akhi, Fakatava and Jacobsen look decent value.
Can't seem to find any goal kickers who aren't listed as 10s?
Hi everyone, for those of you that haven't signed up this year, this is a reminder to.

Great when your captain pick up a whopping 8 points...double points are so helpful on that
Oof
Round 2 is now in the books and for the first time in Fantasy, I've been able to sneak 1st position, largely due to triple captaining Jorgensen and also backing Fehi (despite him gifting a try to Moorby). My Booboo for the week was swapping out Moorby for Carter last minute.
Anita Blackman also sits in 1st equal, not sure who this player is on the Fern but well played. They also captained Jorgensen, they selected Josh Moorby and they persisted with Samisoni who brought home 83 points.

8 days later
Apologies for the delay this round team. My position at the top only lastest one week, with Anita Blackman (AKA Chris) shooting up to 1st with a solid round of 519 points. His big selections for the week were triple captaining Fehi Fineanganofo who brought home 123 points, McReight scored the second most points for his team with 61.
@mikedogz scored the most points for round 3 with 546. A strategy of double captaining Papali'i and Cale was a solid ploy, and as a result went from 16th to 14th.
Ferner's League ladder after round 3:

I'm up to 3rd, how the hell did that happen? (the free wheeling Chiefs v Crusaders game of course)
@taniwharugby said in Fantasy Super Rugby:
forgot to change his team from the previous week.
Honestly can't remember... but wasnβt unhappy with what I had.
Have changed it for this week early though
First time I'm having real problems with Budget.
