Kiwiwomble

Did anyone defect to Planet Rugby?

If so, PR can keep them. Average IQ of both groups improved.

Duluth

A few of those people are on PR or GAGR. I don't have an account on either. Anyone want to send some messages?

Virgil

its not always the case but often when you receive a PM on the fern you receive an email notification.
Would that be worth a go?

The last email probably went to junk.. or an obsolete email address

Will try to email some of these guys again soon.

Nepia

I'm back, thanks to a Saffa poster on Planet Rugby and a few goes at remembering a nearly two decades old password.

Wait.... you hadn't been logged out in two decades?

Wait.... you hadn't been logged out in two decades?

I guess I must have been at some stage, but it would have been closer to the time back then so I would have remembered my password. When I update my laptop I just transfer everything across including all my saved passwords on my browsers so I haven't needed to remember it for a while now.

Bones

@Nepia I'm in IT, so just letting you know you can look up your saved passwords. You're welcome

Look into Proton Pass, it's a password manager that's free and you can have it on your phone and laptop. Too many passwords these days to keep track.

Yet another case of IT security policies being counter-productive.
Does my fucking head in.
Enforced password rotation - meaning everybody needs to write their passwords for everything down somewhere, or in a password-manager.
Not to mention enforced installation of shit like Crowdstrike/Tanium/McAfee/Nessus/etc - requiring opened ports... ie: fucking Security-HOLES. Incompetent fluffybunnies. I met one competent person in that branch of IT yesterday... was fucking surprised. Discovered soon thereafter that he got into it by mistake and has been trying to leave ever since.
Fuck Security/Compliance. Made-up CVSS dates. Incompetent. Ignorant. Fluffybunnies.
Apologies - been handed the "Security Remediation" role at work recently, and detest the entire thing.

Bones

@Kruse just add another number on the end mate

Found the new URL on the Planet Rugby forum.

pukunui

I found it! Almost resorted to signing up to planet rugby to search for clues. Have updated my email address. Good job getting it back up and running.

Kruse

@Bones Oh, I do. And have a text file filled with a list of accounts and which number I'm using for each.

barbarian

Present - thanks to Patreon

dogmeat

I've barely been on here since I retired on 30th April.

As a parting shot I stupidly won us a brand new business opportunity and have hung around as my fingerprints were all over the Tender document. As a result I am busier than ever although the upside is it's interesting and I don't have staff or all the other daily grind and I fo into the office about once a fortnight.

My name is mud at home though as were supposed to be sailing the Med in June and renting a villa in Italy in July...

I did get Kirwan's patreon msg thanks but until now the firewall wouldn't let me visit newly registered domains.

So whose been banned / gone off in a huff in my absence?

Welcome back, with your return the average age here just went up several fold but that’s ok

Interesting. Registered on Monday, so I guess 5 days is considered safe by that policy

Anyone else who's a regular here still out there in their own communities doing God knows what damage to other people's sanity?

Duluth is updating the list at the top, still some regulars missing if anybody knows how to contact them

Higgins

Spoke to @Stockcar86 letting him know of the URL change earlier this evening

Made it back from having to pretend I have any original rugby opinions that aren't directly copied from this forum - nightmare
