West Indies tour of NZ

MN5

52 from 23 needed. 2 wickets in hand. We should nab this.

As I type Jamieson serves a nice pie for Springer to hit for four.

MN5

Neesh bowling. The Windies could get 30 this over if they back themselves

booboo

Windiest favourites now

24 off 12 needed

MN5

These two can bat. Windies have some really talented players in this form of the game.

MN5

Huge six. Shepherd is a darker shade of Lance Cairns.

booboo

And the good news is it's either Jamieson or Neesh to bowl the last

MN5

Holy shit !!!!!! That was some effort. Hit like a missile but he snagged it !

booboo

12 needed off the over

MN5

Shepherd facing. I have to say this series has gotten me into T20 more. Great fun.

Nah. It's like watching the All Blacks fritter away a lead.

MN5

Jamieson dedicating this last over to @Virgil

10 needed from two balls.

MN5

Got em yes ! nailbiting win.

No Quarter

Final T20 on now, WI need to win to draw the series. However Duffy and Jamieson are running through them so far, 21/3. Quite a bit of swing about.

No Quarter

And another for Duffy, 3 in the over....

MN5

Windies have a strong tail. Still game on

No Quarter

That tail is going to have to wag big time again if they want a chance here. If they can't win this, then just 1 T20 win (their strongest format) would signal a verrrrry long tour for the WI

No Quarter

They did ok to get to 140…….

But yeah, uphill battle and then some. Conway supporting well with an unbeaten 0 so far.

MN5

Gosh the University Oval is a beautiful Cricket ground, possibly on a par with the Basin. Great spot.

MN5

41-0. Heaps of overs left. Game over already.

I've had some splendid days at the Basin, sometimes it didn't even rain.

No Quarter

That was absolutely belted. Robinson will make short work of this if they don't get him asap

Agree on the Basin. I've lived in Dunedin.

There's a lot to love, but the weather isn't part of that equation 🙂

Having now called both home. The weather is very comparable. Dunedin colder and sunnier over winter. Wellington a bit more consistent for its good period over summer.

This game here was the coldest I have ever been at a cricket game. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/new-zealand-vs-sri-lanka-2024-25-1443537/new-zealand-vs-sri-lanka-1st-odi-1443546/full-scorecard

@SouthernMann I was at that game too! My God it was freezing. There was a very lonely looking bloke operating the ice cream stand.

I gave up at the innings break and swapped the Basin for the Cambridge and a Parma.

MN5

Hiding in the end. Nicely anchored by Conway.

frugby

Poor old Conway... looked so old and stiff.

MN5

The fern is obviously inconsolable after the Rugby.......

but for anyone who is interested the BCs are 256/6 in the 48th. Daryl Mitchell being Mr reliable as ever with an excellent hundy.

Just as well you didn't say anything sooner.
