This is year three of Rob Penney, and for me this is the problem with the way the Crusaders play. It is admirable, but it is way too loose to be effective long-term. It leaves too much up to variance, when really all they need to do is play high possession rugby, using their strength which is their forward pack.

While I like the speed of play improvements ... i don't think the lax rulings around the break down and the constant ref coaching of players helps super rugby players at all when they step up to international duties .. I do appreciate the ref coaching can help the flow of the game.... but a simple "hands away now" and then a whistle if hands are not moved should be the extent of it
