If your gonna gift a team like the Canes so much ball on the back of a poor lineout ,shaky scrum and turning the ball over when you are in possession this is what happens
Also just not enough depth with all their injuries not to mention losing Holland their lineout go to guy before the season even starts its gonna be long season for Landers fans
Also their 9 and 10 options are average

With Kirifi at openside that should def be our starting loose trio. Hopefully Flanderesess stays injury free he's been unlucky in that sense.

Some ok individual performances for the Landers but just completely outclassed.

Might need to take a seat next week after going off with concussion but probably also needs a break. I’d start Shields, Kirifi and Lakai.

Taavao had a really good (long) shift. JRK showed glimpses of his former self. Lennox showed urgency (just not the rest of the play to back it up).

FR does make for some interesting thinking when you look and see his opposite got 2 points and JRK is embarrassed.
Despite my anger, it did look like Ruben Love ran a bloody good ship last night. Played like an All Black First Five I thought.

Looked bloody good I thought, but also don't think we should under estimate how good it would be between Roigard and Barrett.
Love was solid in the first half but didn't really do a great deal. His line kicking is reasonable, but not particularly long.
The cross kick was a beauty - we are so used to seeing shit lobby ones from BB, that it is a treat to see one with a genuinely AFL-style flat trajectory giving the defence no time to scramble.
After the landers fell apart he ran a bit and threw some nice passes - which is good to see, but it is relatively easy to look good in that situation. Very promising performance nonetheless.
Watching the replay atm and Lasaga was lucky the TMO missed the punch he threw on Dearns after his stupid clean out that got him carded in the first place.
When the camera pans out after Lasaga cleans out Dearns, they have a bit of a scuffle and then you can see Lasaga throw a punch at the 59.09 min mark.
You can even hear Dearns say ‘he punched me ref’
How did they miss it? Lasaga should have got a red and should be suspended.
