Pretty much. He also had some perceived issues with his fitness levels. The real reason though was apparently because they wanted guys bowling at 85mph average and he was considered not fast enough.

All I would say to that is that Glenn McGrath was not exactly express pace and he seemed to go OK.

Latham presumably set those fielding positions, and to be fair corrected the gully casting today to positive outcome.
Not exactly covered himself in glory with not reviewing an LBW off Henry that turned out to be clearly out, however.

And Conway inexplicably back in a second gully position drops another one.
